I've been lurking for the last couple of days, looking over all the things and trying to get a feel for a new place. Mizahar was originally suggested to me by a friend, though after I started to look through the lore, I realized I'd heard of it before from a few other people as well.
I'm not new to roleplaying. I had one of those hippie moms, so I quite literally grew up around pen and paper things like D&D, White Wolf, and a few smaller indie titles. She also worked at a library, so when I was older, most of my time was spent online RPing on web chat things.
A completely random side note, if anyone knows or remember WBS or played at Nia's Tavern, I will immediately love you.
Most of the sites I went to were overrun by people who were just interested in short posts and one-liners, created Mary Sues, or were there for creating fetish bait so I eventually moved on to fandom pbp sites of all different kinds after getting disenchanted. One of those sites I've been pretty exclusive to for several years but I've been wanting to branch out and get back to my fantasy roots for awhile.
Even though it is a bit overwhelming, I really like all the lore that Mizahar has to offer. It is all extremely unique and well planned out, but it also gives you enough room for a good bit of creative freedom as well.
Anyways, so... yeah. That's about it I guess. I've got a character in the works spread across Google Docs and my computer that I hope to get up soon. Still going to look over everything a few more times to make sure that I don't butcher anything too badly.
