If I want to make a purchase of trade goods do I have to buy them from someone or just make a post and buy them from a random joe?

You can just make a post, but you don't have to do even that. You can just write what you bought in your CS and take money off.

thats only before you start RPing lucy. When you started you should RP out the purchase, since in some city's some goods are more expensive or cheaper then in others.
