Hi, stumbled onto this place and thought it would be a cool place to excercise those writing muscles. This seems really fascinating, though to be honest this is all a bit overwhelming, and i hardly know where to start! Ah well, a consideration for another day, as it's time for bed, but ay help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks!

Hello! Welcome to Mizahar.

The only way to get past the overwhelming part at the beginning is to read the wiki and read it some more, and sometimes chatting with people in the Chat can help as well. I'd suggest you start here. Lots of good information and links to stuff it's important to know right off the bat.
