Brand-new to Mizahar!

Hey, guys. If you couldn't guess by the thread's topic, I'm new to Mizahar and all that. I've been roleplaying for three or so years, and know all the basic concepts, though I've yet to try forum roleplay. A friend recommended this form of roleplay to me, as I've expressed frequent dislike of the (much, much, MUCH) lower quality of roleplay that accompanies a game-based format of roleplay. Like a typical newbie, I googled 'forum roleplay' and this was the third option that popped up. After reading the great wiki you guys have, I decided to give it a shot. Judging from all the threads I'm seeing, I think I'll be spending a good bit of my time here. I've always enjoyed the internal monologue portion of books, as well as the personal development of a character, and both of these seem to be staples of forum roleplay. I hope to have a great time with Mizahar; thanks for making this great site!

Welcome Izra! My name's Mikael (but you can call me Masaiken or Masai if you wish). I'm glad you came here to Mizahar, I think you'll enjoy your stay immensely. Everyone here tends to be very helpful. Here's a present for you =)

Well, first thing you should check out is:
--- The Starting Guide
--- Rules (highlights include: 1 character per account, 5 accounts allowed, and your characters cannot interact with each other in any way or form, or benefit from each other.)
--- Terms of Use
--- Creative Manifesto (This is super important! We're all about originality and not doing the same old cliches over and over and over and... well you get the idea.)

Followed by these links:
--- Starting Package (very important, it gives you your initial set of skill points and gear)
--- Races (There are 20 totally original races here, so simply playing to a racial norm means your character will be unique!)
--- Skill List (keep in mind that most of these are not fully developed, and some skills are not listed)
--- Magic List (magic is cool, but it does have its consequences-- don't ignore them)

You should post your character in a thread here. It's okay to post it even if it's a Work-In-Progress (WIP):
