Other Zeltiva and Zeltiva University Questions

Postby Siderea Vesper on January 4th, 2013, 12:58 am

Unrelated to Ayatah's.

Does the University require a high tuition? Does it offer scholarships?

Since Zeltiva has a tiny military force, does it also have a tiny police force? Would the murder of a lower-class woman be thoroughly investigated?

Zeltiva imports most of its food, which is often rationed. Don't many people end up starving?

Other Zeltiva and Zeltiva University Questions

These questions and more can be found in the Player's Guide linked in my signature, and the Student's Guide clearly stickied in the University subforum. If you had read that before you wouldn't need to ask the question, but here goes...

  • The initial tuition fee is 60 Gold Mizas per season, which includes a dormitory, living expenses, and one field of study. It is an additional 30 Gold Mizas for additional fields of study. I suppose scholarships are possible in a story by story sense, but there is no official system for it.
  • It all depends on the context really, but we have the Wave Guard for policing the bay and dock areas, and the Lord of Council has a small contingent of her own guard who generally carry out "policing" duties. All murders would generally be investigated, but the death of an East Street prostitute, for example, might not gather as much interest as say the death of a noble woman.
  • Yes, people do starve. It's a constant problem in Zeltiva. However, recently, Zeltiva has acquired more favourable trading terms with Syliras for food, though the city is still often short. There are usually fish around though.

Just remember for future, the guides and Lore aren't there for fun, they really do contain a ton of info about the city. I wrote them for exactly that purpose :)
