Ristage Caverns were where the original denizens of Alvadas hid from the djed storms of the Valterrian. It is a haven of lost memories and a fitting tribute to the past. The upper levels of the caverns are still used today as additional housing and training grounds for The Womiyu, the Guardians of Alvadas. The upper levels of the caverns have raised walkways stretching from one cavern wall to another. Huge natural archways, in which the former denizens carved dedications to Ionu. It is a wondrous place of natural beauty where humans worked with Nature to survive. During the centuries after the Valterrian, spirits were kept high by performances from a group of people gifted by Ionu to create Illusions of great magnitude and thus the Inverted were born. As entertainers of the people, they brought Syna’s light through Ionu’s illusions and for a short time every ten days, the denizens of the deeps could forget about the troubles that forced them below the earth. The lower levels are more closely guarded. Nobody is truly sure how far the lower levels of Ristage actually span but some believe it is as far north as Sultros. But the caverns are fraught with dangers the likes of which few have seen. The elements themselves protect the relics hidden beneath earth. Designed to test even the toughest Isur and the most venerable Nuit.
