36 Summer AV 511

Scharis looked over the front of the building wearily for a moment. He looked down to the paper that he held in his hands once more to make sure that he had the right address. He had heard that the place didn’t look like what it actually was, but this was a little ridiculous. The building looked like a rundown slum housing unit or something of the like. It certainly didn’t look like a brothel. But, then again, most brothels went out of their way to look inconspicuous. Apparently this one was doing a better job of it than most. Scharis shrugged to himself a little as he started toward the door. He was still dressed in full gear at the moment. He didn’t figure he’d need it working as a bouncer for the place, but he wanted to make sure he put on as good of a front as possible. Most of the people who came here wouldn’t have any kind of weapon to really threaten him with, but if someone snuck in something wicked, then he’d be sure to have the best protection as possible. Plus, he wanted to look as intimidating as possible to make sure that no one petched with him and they all behaved.

As Scharis walked toward the entrance the door burst open. A taller human man hurried out of the doorway, holding his clothes clutched against his chest as he bolted from the building. Behind him he could hear the sound of a woman shouting. Something about being lousy and penniless. Unfortunately, the man hadn’t expected to burst from the building and come face to face with a brutish Eypharian standing in his path. Scharis had heard all that he needed to from the pursuing woman, shooting one of his left arms out straight out to his side as the man tried to run past, clothes lining him to the ground in a heap as his arm aught the man’s throat but his legs continued to move forward. Scharis leaned down to the man, sneering wickedly for a moment “I wouldn’t move from that spot if I were you…”

The woman who was chasing the man caught up to where Scharis had stopped him. She was almost less than the man was at the moment, but then again, that was to be expected at a brothel. She was winded, but he wondered if that was just because of running after the man, or because of what preceded the running. He was sure that the quick jaunt after the fleeing man hadn’t helped either way. Scharis couldn’t help but looking over the attractive woman as she stood there, her chest heaving slightly as she worked to catch her breath. The man on the ground had started to try to slither away but was quickly stopped when Scharis’s foot stomped down between his legs, dangerously close to his groin. The man’s eyes went wide for a second, but he halted his escape attempt. The woman laughed a little bit, “Well thank ya’ there, Hun. Little petching oaf tried to run out without payin’. Left me layin’ there and just ran for the door.” Scharis smiled, bowing his head to the woman, “Well, as the new bouncer for your establishment, I figured I’d start immediately.” The woman didn’t even try to hide her surprise at the fact that he now worked for the House, watching, at least slightly impressed, as the Eypharian reached down and hoisted the man up to his feet with very little effort. The man just stood there silently for a second, looking down to the ground. Scharis eyed him a moment, “Are you going to pay the woman, or do I have to beat you until the city guards get here?” the man took a step back, shaking his head violently as he reached into his clothes, “Gods no! I’ll pay! I’ll Pay!” Scharis smiled as the man pulled out his coin pouch and handed the woman the necessary amount. Once the woman had nodded that everything was fine, Scharis turned the man around and kicked him in his arse to get him moving along, “Remember that next time. I catch you pulling a stunt like that again and I’ll make sure you can’t see for a few days afterwards.” The man hurried off to an alley, probably to try and dress himself.

Scharis looked back to the prostitute and nodded to her before she headed back toward the house, motioning for him to follow. Scharis took a couple seconds to enjoy the view as she walked away. This was looking to be an interesting job already. Things would go quite nicely here.

[House of Immortal Pleasure] Pay What You Owe! (Solo)

Postby Scharis on September 3rd, 2011, 5:05 am

Upon walking through the entry into the House, Scharis knew why they always said not to judge a book by its cover. He was stunned for a second, stopping in his tracks for a second as he looked around at all of the decorations and fixtures of the establishment. This place surely did good business and they made it known. There probably wasn’t a single area in this building, at least the inside of it, that wasn’t lavish. It definitely betrayed the modest exterior of the building. But that was probably to keep too many people from becoming too interested in the goings-on inside. It seemed to work well, too. Scharis was going to have to make sure that he didn’t cause too many big scenes outside the front of the place, lest he draw negative attention to it.

“I’m Larana, one of the working girls here, of course. We don’t really have a head mistress or anything. It’s just run like a… community, almost. Whoever isn’t busy works on getting the next customer. It works on a rotation, really. But you don’t really need to know that. I guess you’ll pretty much do what the last bouncer did. Just patrol the building a little now and then and make sure no one tries to rough up any of the girls… more than they’re getting paid for anyway. And make sure no one tries to duck out on the bill like Larish, the one you just met. We’ll make sure that he pays up front next time.” Scharis chuckled a little bit, his eyes wandering around the building as Larana lead him around a little bit, giving him a very brief tour of the main parts of the building, “You only get a couple free drinks a night. After that, the barkeep will start a tab for you that you’ll have to pay at the end of your shift. Make sure not to kill anyone who doesn’t deserve it. We have a nice relationship going with the city guard and we really don’t wanna screw it up, you know?” Scharis nodded, “Of course. I wouldn’t want to get my new employer shut down. That’d look pretty bad, huh?” Larana smiled and nodded a little. Scharis bowed his head to her, “I’ll let you get back to work. I’m pretty sure I can take it from here. I’ll just keep by the front door when I’m not on patrol. Thanks for the tour, Larana.” She nodded again and then turned to head off to her business.

Scharis made his way to the front of the building once more. He smiled as he walked, hearing the sound of his grieves as they rattled on the tile floor slightly. He knew he’d have to keep out of the back rooms unless necessary. He didn’t want to disturb anyone back there with the sound of an armored man walking down the corridors. So he quickly made his way back to the front room, heading over toward the door and sitting down in a large chair across from the entryway. He would make sure to inspect anyone who came in before letting them pass. None of the customers would be needing weapons. If they were just here for a look and a drink then fine. Other than that, no weapons… at all.

Scharis unslung his shield from his back, propping it up against the chair, followed by one of his scimitars before he took a seat. He sighed slightly as he settled down into the silk fabric. Granted, it was only the back of his neck that could truly feel the quality of the silk, but it was nice either way. And the overstuffed chair was more than comfortable, even when in armor. And then… the women. They walked through the room to and from in a constant stream of exposed flesh. The men he wasn’t too concerned about. Scharis had an open mind and all, but he still had his preferences. So, he watched the woman as they went about greeting customers in the waiting room and such. It was definitely a good view. He was going to like it here… a lot.
