[red diamond] Ale and trouble(yur)

Postby Coren on August 26th, 2011, 2:38 pm

Summer 87th 511 AV

Coren was smiling behind his face mask as he entered the red diamond, today had been a good day as far as he was concerned, his father and mom hadn't bothered him, he didn't have any annoying people asking him stupid questions at his job and the end of the summer was coming, so he would be getting the fruits of his work this season very soon. And would any self respecting man do something else with his first paycheck then waste it on lots and lots of cheap booze and get completely plastered.

Making up his way to the more private second level of the tavern and sat down at a table, patiently waiting for a waiter to take his order. Luckily for him, it didn't take to long for somebody to notice him sitting at his table.
“What would your order be sir.” Coren looked straight at the waiter, ignoring the man's confusion about why the hell he didn't put his hood and mask down while he was inside.
“I'll take the special and a gallon of ale to start.” The man nodded and walked back to the bar downstairs, leaving coren to wait on his food and drink.

[red diamond] Ale and trouble(yur)

Yuralria Was dancing downstairs as the stranger walked in. The musicians were playing a lilting, foreign tune, and Yura was taking her chance to show off. The small crowd closest to her stage was getting quite inebriated, Urging her to 'get dirtier' It was was disgusting. "Why do I dance here" she muttered to no one in particular. Her unseen companion, a gentle breeze blew threw hair hair, giving her dancing a sense of surrealism. Well, it's because you love dancing. Even if you don't like the creeps you dance for." A profound statement. Thought Yura sarcastically. Even as the thought crossed her hair a powerful looking young man reminiscent of a blacksmith's apprentice, with his blackened clothing and calloused hands, stumbled on the the stage and started dancing. He smelled strongly of ale and liquor, and he was obviously trashed. As he was dancing, he reached over and grabbed Yura's backside with a wide grin on his face. Yura's eye's flashed from a calm blue to a dark red almost instantly and her hand shot to the hilt of her sword. Quickly she brought it up, smashing the pommel into the offending man's nose. His hands rose to his face, and he stumbled backwards, Looking up at Yura. the incredulous look on his face changed to one of anger, and he swung, close fisted at Yura. She bent backwards into a bridge, walking over into a standing position, and smacked him in the temple with the flat of her blade. He fell backwards off the stage, and before he could get up, Yura stormed upstairs. Catching the waiter by the arm, She asked him for a pint and then sat at the only available table upstairs. The one occupied by the stranger.

[red diamond] Ale and trouble(yur)

Coren was absentmindedly tapping his fingers to the beat of the strange tune that was played downstairs as he continued to wait for his ale and food. The first feelings of boredom already beginning to creep into his mind.
'Maybe I should have taken a seat at the first floor.” Coren thought to himself as the image of the dancing woman below came back to him. “At least there would have been a nice view.” He was roughly pulled out of his string of thoughts by a few loud sounds coming from beneath him. For a few short moments coren wondered what exactly was happening down there before his mind came to the most obvious conclusion, a scuffle between two vantha two drunk to keep standing on their feet after the first few blows. The thought got a small amused chuckle out of the young man, who was now rather happy he chose for the second floor. He didn't want to ruin this wonderful day by getting caught up in a brawl and getting his face rearranged.

Not to long after the last sounds had died down the same young woman came stomping up the stairs. The petite young woman looked absolutely lived, making Coren wonder if she was somehow involved with whatever happened downstairs. His eyes went wide in shock when she just stormed towards his table and just sat down.
He just stared at the woman for a few seconds, not really knowing if he should mention her glaring lack of manners or just listen to his common sense and try not to aggravate the young woman further.
“Well, something must really have ticked you off if you just sit down at the same table as a total stranger without even asking.” Coren carefully started of the conversation, hoping his comment wasn't to preachy.

Before Yura could really answer, Rayvoris walked up and set a mug of ale on the table for Yura and delivered Coren's food and a pitcher of ale with a mug. and left, leaving the two to thier own devices. Yura took a big gulp of ale and set her mug back down. "Some of the people in this bar right now are petching bags of shyke"
She fumed. She caught a few coice words, apparently describing her, coming from down the stairs. Grabbing her mug, she quickly drained her pint and stood, throwing her cloak over her shoulders. A soft breeze brushed across the table [b]"Leaving already? not going to talk? I want to hear what he has to say." whispered the breeze in her ear [b]"I'm not well liked in here at the moment." she said loudly, forgetting she was talking the the wind. She then proceded to hurry down toward the stairs, and ultimately, the door.

[red diamond] Ale and trouble(yur)

Coren gave a quick word of thanks to rayvoris as he brought his food and poured out some of the ale for himself as he listened to to the furious woman. “Well this is the bar, there are always some morons who have got to much alcohol on the mind to stop themselves from acting like complete fools.” He replied in a calm tone as he pulled down his facemask and took a small sip from his ale, hoping she would cool down before she was going to do something rash that would lead to a bar brawl and the icewatch coming to sort things out. She didn't look like somebody who could control her temper very well as she demonstrated so clearly only moments ago. When she quickly drained most of her ale and bruskly stood up, throwing her cloak back on loudly saying she wasn't well liked at the moment he let out a sigh. It seemed she didn't cool down.

“That really isn't a good idea right now.” Coren said as he quickly stood up and laid a hand on her shoulder to stop her from storming down the stairs. “I don't think that man who you just nailed in the nose is very happy about that and nor are his friends. And no matter how skilled you are at fighting I don't think you can hold of a mob off angry drunks. So why don't you sit back down for a while till they are somewhat cooled of and you can try to go outside without getting mobbed by a bunch of drunks?” Coren stated, really hoping that his nose wouldn't be the second one she would hit today.

Yura's sword slid out of it's sheath and she spun faster than most people could see, the pommel of her blade aimed for another nose, before she took in what the stranger was saying. She stopped a half inch shy of his face when she caught the tone of his voice. Turning around again, she sat down at the table again, a slight breeze brushing through her hair and Coren's coat. "Now, sit and be social" Buzzed the wind in her ear "Oh shove it" she replied, forgetting she was in public. She nocked on the table for a mug of ale and fumed, seeing the sense in the stranger's words.

Coren's eyes widenend in slight fear as the woman suddenly twisted underneath his grip and was already trying to recall how much getting his nose set by a whitevine would cost as she suddenly stopped the blade half an inch before it would meet its nose and just turned back to the table and sat down, loudly saying to shove it. Coren let out an annoyed sigh as he looked around for the little crack that would have let the breeze that just went by, strange though he had been coming tot his tavern for a long time and never had any kind of wind breeze inside this establishment.

“Well normally people say thank you instead of shove off if they helped you, but I'll take the not punching me in the face as the thank you.” Coren said as he also sat down at the table pulled his facemask down once again, revealing a fairly normal sight, just the face of a typical vantha with a small fairly well kept beard growing on his face, and took a bite from the food.
“Well, anyway I'm coren.” He introduced himself after a few bites of his food, pulling the facemask back on as he wasn't eating. “From the skyglow hold. Who are you?”
