Djed manipulation made sense to Zlakalia. It was like moving around your body parts, reshaping your form. It all had to do with focusing on parts of yourself, the inner movement. It was supposedly so simple. Right?

So why was this so PETCHING hard?

Zlakalia had spent the gold, gotten a book of Flux. Most of it was useless, primarily warnings about overusing. The book should've been renamed 'Flux: Why NOT to use it!' Still, she had heard about it back in Zeltiva, but it had never given her interest. She could already move her limbs around, what purpose would there be to pool their power?

But the idea had been haunting her since her meeting with Keido. She didn't really need to be any stronger, just a lot faster. And flux could make her faster, grant her legs more energy to run, to move and zip and jump with amazing strength. That idea had stricken her and refused to leave her mind.

The piece of leather at her side was also new, but much less foreign than flux. Finding one of these had been a pain, nearly impossible, but find them she did. It had cost all the wages she'd gotten so far this season as well as last. It was... irritating. But the little leather thing was all wrapped up and waiting for her to use it.
ooc-100gm for a py-whip

Her father had used it. Not THIS whip exactly, but py-whips. The memory flashed back foreign and unwelcome. Zlakalia would have thought a fellow hypnotist to be playing with her mind if she didn't recognize the content. Her father was a ball with a bunch of pointy arms, his skin a very attractive yellow-brown. And he often had to use the whip to scare the curious bird or creature who stalked the pyve.

She could remember one of her first forms, a misshapen woman with too many arms. It was basic, simple, ugly. But that wasn't the point. She remembering watching her father in that form, watching how he trained with the whip. His spikes would around the whip tightly, his body spinning as he sent the whip out so snap or strike at his target. But the memory was tattered and frayed, nothing more than a few bare images remained. And it faded the more Zlakalia tried to remember.

Zlakalia let the memory go, no longer focused on the far past. She touched the pages of the book with one hand and the leather of the whip with the other. She was ready to get to training.
