Character Concepts
Personality - A calm exterior hides a temper that can get him into trouble. Jecon has a good sense of people, but he is sometimes wrong, and some people he takes an instant dislike for, whether they are good or evil. He has a good sense of humor and can take and give jokes, with a smile never far from his face. He is somewhat awkward socially, and can seam cold sometimes, but tries to be friendly, and gives most people a chance.
Ethics - Jecon has moral standards that he follows without fault, but they don't cover every aspect of live and those areas are gray to say the least. He will steal when necessary, lie when needed, but will never kill someone in cold blood except in extreme circumstances.
Likes - Good friends, hunting, practicing daily with his blade, horseback riding, swimming, walks through pine woods, and physical exercise.
Dislikes - Whiny, nit-picky people, snakes, backstabbers, people with a purely destructive nature, and overpriced lodgings
Character History:
Pre-Creation - Jecon was born on island in the Suvan Sea, just off the coast of Syliras. His father was the towns blacksmith and knew the use of swords as well as the making of them, and he taught his only child the use of them starting at a young age. Though his father and him were never very close they both had a love for each other and would spend time working together or hunting together, rarely talking but enjoying each others company.

But all this was ripped apart the day Jecon turned sixteen, that morning his father had passed down a ring that had been in the family for generations, it was a gold ring in the shape of a dragon, nose to tail. Just after his father had handed it to him, pirates landed on the island. They struck quickly and ruthlessly, sweeping through the village killing and plundering as they went. Jecon's father rushed to help the others in the defense of the village, but he and the few others were no match for the ruthless pirates. Jecon watched as his father died, killed by a cutlass thrust from behind. He was then taken aboard the pirated galley as a oar slave and was forced to row them to other villages where they killed and pillaged more. By the time he was eighteen he was very strong, from rowing all day, and sometimes all night. A week after what would have been his eighteenth birthday Jecon hatched an escape plan he and the oar slaves had been planning for a while. That night, one of them, a rouge, picked the lock on his manacles with an iron shaving and jumped the guard. He took the keys and freed the rest of them, they stormed the crew quarters and the captains cabin as quietly as possible, but something or someone made a noise and it roused the crew, which fought back. The under armed and under trained slaves would have been no match for the pirates, except for the fact they had freedom in sight. They fought hard but in the end the fight went against the slaves, Jecon saw this and grabbed his friend, the rouge, and grabbed a ships boat. They were rowing away and seemed to be in the clear, when a crossbow qwarrel burred itself in the rouge's back. He died in Jecon's arms urging him, with his last words, to make good the chance he and the others given him with their lives. Upon reaching shore, Jecon made an oath, that his friends sacrifices would not be in vain. He searched around and soon bought a longsword and buckler so he could defend himself, and those who couldn't defend themselves. Now he has just entered Syliras with a sword at his hip, a shield on his back, and new life ahead of him.
