![]() At first glance, Gesler is a quiet, yet well-spoken individual. He chooses his words carefully, but is very sociable at the same time. He is friendly to everyone. People instantly fall in love with Gesler, only to forget him the moment they walk away. He is that one guy in the background; never causing any problems, but always looking for trouble. He is part of the group, but somehow leaves himself detached. Gesler is omits himself from the drama and gossip, but seems to be in the middle of it all the time. His sense of humor leaves people scratching their heads for a moment, wondering if it was a compliment or insult. It is difficult to make enemies with Gesler. The more time you spend with the man, the more you will learn of him. Gesler is a musician, artist, entertainer, and storyteller. He gives private shows to his most beloved friends. These little performances are where you really get to know him. Through his music, Gesler paints worlds and tells amazing stories. His goal when playing music is to entertain and capture people’s imaginations. He does not live for compliments and applauses, but he lives to see the sparkle of motivation in people’s eyes. Hw truly believes that music is the key to solving all problems; music inspires souls and lead men to do great things. Although, he prefers small quiet settings, Gesler is known for playing to the public as well. Gesler is a first and fore most a musician and artist. Secondly, however, Gesler just lives life. He enjoys exploring new places, gathering inspiration, drinking, eating, and all other worldly pleasures. Gesler seems to always be vacationing when he is not performing, but really he is just living his life the way he wants. There is no reason to worry about tomorrow. Occasionally, Gesler will get into mischief, but nothing too out of hand. Gesler accepts the usuage of mind-altering substances and freely engages in those activities. He also loves romance and erotic activities. The idea of falling in love is important to him, even though he has no lover of his own. The artist is also a supporter and practitioner of magic and the use of djed. All of this being said though, Gesler is practical as well. He is well trained with the rapier and is physically fit. He is not haughty and snobbish, like other people in his line of work. Gesler can hold his own down when it comes to other knowledge. He is not a helpless noble dog, he has done his fair share of hard work and suffering. One of Gesler’s goals is to travel throughout Mizahar. The man is mentally and physically tough enough to endure an expedition. The last thing people think of him is a pansy or hipster. Gesler’s main goal at this time is to form a group of muscian’s dedicated to creating music and entertaining people. ![]() Gesler was born and raised in Ravok. The son of a bricklayer, Gesler lived the simple life of the city. He was just like any other kid his age, except for his love of music. Even at a young age, the boy was making music with house hold items. Encouraging his son daily, Gesler’s father let him be the artist he was meant to be. At the age of eight he received his first violin, a beaten up piece from a local instrument store. The piece was never quite in tune; it was a perfect symbol for Gesler’s lot in life. The boy learned to play by ear, because his family could not afford a tutor. Starting off very slow, the young musician almost lost his muse for the instrument. There were things he could learn about the violin tutor that would make his experience less stressful and more fruitful. No. Gesler had to do it the hard way, he needed to learn all by himself. His father even tried to buy a better violin for his ninth birthday, but he still struggled to release all the muse he had built up. At the age of ten, Gesler’s musical development was put on hold when he became his father’s apprentice. It was not that his father wanted his son to stop learning music, but he needed the extra help to pay the bills. Obligation is part of life as well. Gesler learned this quickly from his father. Men need to do work to survive. It was a fact that Gesler took in hard. He needed to do anything in his power to make his life better. Soon he started to get into more and more trouble. Hanging out with all the working class kids, the young musician began to get involved in crime and fighting. There was no way out of this lifestyle for the teenager; he was born here and it was meant to be and he loved it. Gesler was all about this life. The danger excited him. The money he was raking in from the drug sales was amazing. Things were going great in all areas but music for Gesler. After a long period of darkness, light was shed onto Gesler’s life. When the kid turned eighteen, his father released him from apprenticeship and gave him his final musical gift. Handing his son an exquisitely crafted guitar, he prayed that Gesler would return to a life of music. Moving out of his parent’s home, the young man plucked the strings of the guitar and was immediately captivated. All of his violin training made the guitar seem simple and easy to him. He began to make music and he loved it. He was in the light once again. Taking up his father’s instruments, Gesler rented out a small apartment in the city and began to work his craft. Working odd jobs to cover rent and expenses, the young musician practiced and developed his work.
