The characters are animate on the screen as doctoring turns to conversation and conversation to the conception of friendship. Education is traded for smiles and bandages for compassion as the authors work in skill training with deft transition. Veldrys encourages Syllke to give him the story of the dolphin which Syllke weaves with compelling talent. Doubling the goods, Veldrys later returns the volley with the pre-Valterrian tale of his people. Seaweed harvesting grows into a deeply revealing series of questions and answers that offer the reader an rare glimpse behind the calm demeanor of Denval's only Symenestra. Blood and roots, singing and origins, art and revelations are stacked with vivid words and a sharp attention to the furthering of the other player's own imagination.
