Personality: Sisal has a very kind temperament; she is very dramatic like most of the others in her hold. She loves to put on shows and tell stories but as soon as someone she doesn’t know walks in the room she becomes quiet. She has an extreme loyalty to the people she loves but only has a small group of people she can talk to. If she ever sees a colorful animal perish she becomes hysterical and the only one who can calm her is her Kelvic bond mate Primis. Morals: Sisal feels the need to protect the ones she loves and she doesn’t think she needs the protection of Primis even though they are best friends. She is very religious and is very devoted to her gods. Gnosis: When Sisal turned sixteen and was betrothed to her fiancée, the goddess Morwen blessed her with a gnosis mark. This mark made her more resistant to the harsh winter in Avanthal than before. Likes: Sisal is drawn to animals with colorful fur or feathers because they remind her of the Aurora Borealis that surrounds her every night. She likes putting on shows and telling stories for her friends and family. Dislikes: Sisal dislikes few things but she despises her fiancée, Tayrd and thinks of him as an insensitive womanizer. Family: Sisal has two younger sisters, Avis and Fara, whom are twins that she loves. Her mother is also a successful healer and the one who revived Primis when she wandered into the village wounded. She loves her mother because she objected to Sisal’s marriage to Tayrd even though her father eventually convinced her otherwise. Although she is mad at her father, she does not hate him because she knows he was doing to the best for her. Her fiancée is a successful whaler and hunter that will be able to support her and Primis well. But Tayrd does not like Primis because she is very open bout her dislike towards him. He tries to convince Sisal to get rid of her, but Sisal never agrees. Her father thinks that Primis’ loyalty towards Sisal may jeopardize the marriage, but she would rather that happen than getting rid of Primis. Housing: 1 basic 20x20 Arvinta in a Hold with a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and small table. Each Arvinta consists of a communal meeting or sitting room. Then there are private rooms for couples, and a common sleeping/living room for all the children. Visitors are often given a private room, while a couple will move in with the children to make extra room. Some of the larger, more expansive Holds with wealthier families have spare rooms in their Arvinta or special guest quarters when people move from place to place visiting. Holds often have common areas and craft cottages in buildings attached and are always made of solid stone. External buildings are often built from ice and warmed from within by special braziers that conduct heat into the room but do not melt the thick ice walls. A Hold may contain multiple Arvintas and might hold upwards of a couple hundred people. Clothing: When inside Sisal wears a long sleeved, fitted, white shirt made of cotton and some black leggings with a pair of fur-lined ankle length lace- up boots. When outside she wears the same but with a large polar bear fur lined parka to keep her warm. Equipment: Sisal has a small pack that contains a water skin, flint and steel, a small eating knife, and small wooden brush and bar of soap. She also carries a harp that was a wedding gift from Tayrd’s father. Precreation: Sisal was the first born of three sisters and considered a gift since her heart stopped beating immediately after her birth but she was revived soon after by her mother. She led a normal life until she was fourteen when a wounded wolf Kelvic wandered into the village and bonded to her. Sisal named the Kelvic Primis and they have been best friends ever since. When Sisal turned sixteen she was betrothed to a womanizer named Tayrd and quickly grew to dislike him.
