A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

The moment the young slave had stepped into much firmer grounds, she immediately headed towards the crowd that swept across the neat cobbled ground of Ravok, wanting to put a distance between herself and the boats. Neryl did not enjoy it, the ride. In fact, she hated the quiet lurch of the boats as it glides through the water with elegant grace, despised the violent knots it formed by each sicking motion, abhorred the thought of the depths of the canals. Needless to say, the pale pallor of her face and her iron clad grip on the side of the boat were usually the first indicators of her foreign ancestry.

But today would not be spent cursing her inability to tolerate watercrafts- absolutely not! Excitement bubbled inside her, rising as her eyes took in the sight of the Nitrozian Plaza's cluster of tasteful buildings colored in pastels both faded and cheerful, buzzing with human activity that gave the floating city life and dignified beauty that could easily bring awe to both citizens and tourists alike. A smile touched her lips, almost forlorn. Without a doubt, it was a beautiful city, full of elegance and charm. It was not hard to fall in love with such a city like Ravok- even a slave like her wasn't immune to it's beauty. But it was so... twisted. Sins ran rampant on it's winding streets and open canals, even justified by serene logic. However, what right did she have to judge these creatures when she herself found affection for such a city? No matter how much scorn she would throw at it, no matter how much contempt she would place to it's residence it would not cover the fact that she was bound to it and called it her home.

A small boy dashed past her, almost knocking her off her feet, barely letting her move aside as he flashed her a playful grin along with armful of fruit. The girl smiled wryly, knowing exactly the thrill the boy had felt right then. Without a doubt, the boy was simply just doing it for the fun of it- from the fine tailoring of his clothes, she'd guess he was probably some noble's child. The few that noticed the boy gave hearty chuckles and understanding nods, remembering the same phase in their lives. After allowing herself a chuckle, Neryl once again began on her mission, this time keeping a more vigilant eye for any boys thirsting for a good prank.

Finally, her trek was rewarded by the view of the hand carved sign that proclaimed the shop's name- "Odds and Ends", one of her favourite shops in the city. Her steps became rushed now, a wide smile gracing her features, one that told of her delightful anticipation to be surrounded by a myriad of items that just waited for her touch and marvel. If she didn't have an ounce of pride in herself, she would've happily skipped to the shop with the accompaniment of song.

"Good afternoon," Neryl greeted to the mountain of a man as she entered the shop, barely keeping her eagerness in check. In response, he grunted and nodded brusquely, acknowledging her presence. She smiled wanly and breezed in deeper, greeting the woman behind the small counter with the same level of politeness. Once their very brief exchange was done, she strolled to the clothing section, only stopping when a trinket or two called to her.

Clothes greeted her with a warm welcome, inviting her hands and eyes to inspect them further and gander at their simple beauty. The young woman could only comply, eagerly scrutinising each piece with a careful attention, revelling in the different textures that flowed through her flesh. Although they were not as beautiful or stylish as her mistresses clothing- they couldn't even compare- they were delightfully charming in their own way. Her process was simple and practised; inspect, judge and try. It was a well worn routine that gave her a spark of pleasure, some sort of relaxation that took her momentarily away from the worry she was faced with.

After blazing through a number of dresses, a blue dress snagged her attention, pulled her away from the rest and called to her. "Oh!" Neryl sounded, fondling the light fabric of the dress. In would blend in well with her wardrobe, which was admittedly small (today she was wearing her black dress), simple and practical with a hint of flair in it's weave. Cheerfully, she pressed the dress against her body, turning towards the mirror that was kept thoughtfully near the rack. Not bad at all, she thought, smiling. The small bow in the collar and the color gave the dress quite an appeal. The embroidered flowers were a nice touch too. Neryl bit her lips, a poor attempt in stopping a wide smile from shaping. Girlishly, she half twirled with the dress still pressed on her, slightly giggling as she did so.

The day, despite it's turbulent start, was certainly brightening up.
