While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

You Can Never Hunt In Peace (Solo)

My eyes opened. Sunlight was barely visible in the sky, and the darkness of the night filled the sky like storm clouds. I was laying on the ground, wings wrapped around me to get warm. I unfolded them and stood up, watching as the last few remains of the sun disappeared into the horizon. I got up and walked out into the small clearing in front of my cave, checking to see what moon it was.

The moon wasn't exactly in the middle of the sky, it was off to the side a little. But my daydreaming got interrupted as my stomach growled for meat. I answered it, and with a few flaps of my wings, and a puff of dust underneath me, I was flying high in the starry night. I flew around for a bit, scanning for any movements underneath me. After awhile I decided I had no luck and so flew just above the trees.

Soon, just below me was something big and black. The first thing that came to mind was bear, but as I drew nearer, I saw it was stag. Deer. Meat.

I flew faster and then landed in a clearing it would have to run through. Sure enough, it stumbled in mindlessly before having it ripped apart. I took a piece of it's meat, and sat down, chewing it carefully. Deer meat was always good, but bear was better. I took my fill, leaving the carcass with a huge hole in it. I was about to take off, I even opened up my wings. But some yelling and noises came from my right. How far away? It seemed pretty distant, so I decided to take a look. What could be... who could be making those noises?

I wrapped my wings around me, hoping they would camouflage me in the dark. I proceeded with caution, going behind trees and into the shadows. I ended up behind a tree, peering in on a human camp.

The humans had made a tent, and were sitting around a campfire drinking something brown out of a jug. I sniffed the air, and recognized the scent. It was this very nasty stuff. I once came across it when hunting.

The humans set up their tent in the middle of a clearing surrounded by trees, and they didn't know it, but me too. I circled them, silently making my way to the other side to get a look. They continued to laugh and shout, but then the biggest one, a brown short-haired man, stood up. He mumbled something, but the only words I caught was "beasts" and "kill". I knew what he meant, the wildlands was a dangerous place. I had encountered before a very large, what do they call them? Dire- yes, a Dire Wolf that had almost wiped out my camp.

The man that was standing finally spoke up, and was in a shout now. "My crew, we are out here today to practice our skills, and as a group we will be able to overcome anything. But our main duty is to hunt down Zith and bring their carcasses in for Mizas. Lots of them my friends."

You Can Never Hunt In Peace (Solo)

OOCI just realized I had written in 1st person in my previous post, and I did 3rd person here. I'm sorry Mods, I'll write in 3rd from now on!

Luna gasped before she could stop herself. They wanted to kill her? She knew that no one wanted her... or liked her... but they wanted to kill her? Seriously? She sent up a silent prayer that her gasp wasn't loud enough that they could hear. She realized she was panting of nervousness, arms grasped around the tree. She wasn't looking at the camp anymore, but the dark forests that were surrounding it. She looked back in on the camp.

They were cheering now, standing up and clinking their glasses together.

Clink, Clink, Clink

For trying to kill her, they sure were making alot of racket. And it would take alot more than that to kill her. She filled with anger, angry for being hunted. Why her? Why Ziths? It was sad. They were the best, most powerful race... and they were being treated like monsters!

They grabbed swords and torches from a nearby desk, and then set out into the forest in the opposite direction she was. She took to the skies, and circled overhead of them to check where they were going. There was about 10 of them, but she could easily kill every last one of them. They soon came out into a large clearing, then stopped and one of them checked the map.

The clearing wasn't that far away from a dirt road in which was the direction they were going. She decided to try to confront them there.

She swirled around in big circles, slowly making her way to the floor of the road. She went to the other side and hid behind a tree, just in case. Sure enough, they emerged from the other side, heading right toward Luna.

One of them stopped and shouted something, and she knew that meant they found her. She hissed, eyes glaring with fury, and flapped her wings, going over them. She stood there in the sky, watching as they cursed and angrily threw down their weapons. This made her smile. She loved watching them suffer. But then another one scurried out of the forests, carrying 2 bows. He took one, and the leader took one, then loaded them and started shooting. She swerved in and out of the way, arrows not even close to hitting her. This was just too easy. They obviously had no skill in archery.

They were restless, and out of arrows after a while. She made this the time to strike. She descended from the sky, unseen, and unheard. She outstretched her claws, preparing for battle. She picked one up, and took it into the air, where she dropped him to his death. They all scattered all around her, swords high, ready for battle.
