The Bridge to Nowhere (Solo)

Half-Pint awoke to see a large, copper headed figure staring down at her. If she had facial features, she would've smiled. "Hello Chent, looks like you are ready to get to work. You in the mood to work outside? I think the road is still a bit busted. I hear there's flowers there, just like you like." She enjoyed the large Dek man. He was very simple, not a very useful, but he seemed to enjoy taking orders. It was hard to find a Dek that didn't begrudge every command made. So for his loyalty, obedience, and the occasional spontaneous song, he got the luxury of staying in her apartment. For a Dek, this was a life of luxury. He didn't like to sleep in the bed though, preferring the couch usually, or sometimes one of her armchairs.

Half-Pint hopped down off her bed, and handed a pack to Chent. "Hold this Chent, we need to gather our tools first." She hoped that her mannerisms would teach him enough to one day allow him to move up in caste, but she had her doubts. There was only so much that you could do for some. After gathering the tools, Chent bent down and Half-Pint scrambled up his frame and sat upon his shoulders. "Okay Chent, take us to the Sanikas road."

She was looking around the halls, studying the damage the storm had caused. There were fractures and fissures everywhere, and Half-Pint was quite surprised there weren't more cave-ins. She was not one to follow the habits of the lesser gods, for Haramaeus was above them all, but still, she wished they would keep their squabbles between themselves. As they neared the gates, she saw something that made her clay boil. There were several young Yasi chucking small rocks a Dek woman who was busy trying to unbury the entrance to an apartment. She had no problem with the mistreatment of lazy, useless Dek, but this woman was busy helping the city fix itself, and these children were being a hindrance. From her position atop Chent's shoulders, she began barking out orders at the Yasi, "You three, stop it right now! Leave the hardworking alone and get to work you DekatariMade up on the spot swear, akin to "Dek in near Future"."

The youth just laughed, not taking her seriously, probably because of her diminutive size and lack of being Inarta proper. She began to overflourish her hand movements as she excreted an ethereal substance known as Res from her hands, forming it into a gas. "I gave you an order... Yasi," she sneered. She had the gas spread itself out in front of her and her companion. It was a thin layer, purposefully so, to keep it less visible, and because she needed to save her energy for the real work, and this was no longer that taxing. The youths matched her sneer, and chucked their rocks in hand at her. She used the res to attract the rocks like iron shavings to a magnet. Only one of them was on target anyways, he'd likely go on to be Endal for his aim. The rocks stopped in midair. She began spinning the rocks quicker and quicker, end over end, and chucked them back at the youths. The youths were only mildly injured, but they got the point quickly. "All three of you, follow me, I'll put you to work. Dek," she said, looking at the woman, "Continue working hard, you're doing well."

The three Yasi quietly fell in line behind her as they exited out of the mountain, looking down at the Sanikas road. It was strewn with rocks, some small, others were massive boulders. "Welcome to your new duties, Yasi. Let's get to work."
