Hello, you guy's can call me Crial. I'm pretty new to this kind of roleplaying (I played D&D and nWoD before but thats not really the same as this). So if I make a mistake just point it out and I'll do my best to fix it. Though I hope reading the rules a few times might just prevent that.

I got one mayor question though, how does one go about integrating into the mizahar society after that massive apocalypse that happenend? I read the thread about it but I still feel a little bit lost.

Welcome to Mizahar. I see you're finding your way about things in chat well enough.

Apocalypse is a strong word for the djed storm. Yes, the world as Mizahar knows it was changed, but no one--save for a handful of people and the gods--is really aware of the scale or the cause. Lots of people died, and cities were changed, some forever. That does not make it impossible for your character to move on.

Mizahar is a relatively new world, because it did end some 500 plus years ago. Civilization is still rebuilding. Many would see this as an aftershock, maybe an omen, or maybe even completely unrelated to the Valterrian. Either way, the general feeling is to rebuild, move on, do what you can to survive. If the individual wants to dwell on it, so be it, but the world has not stopped spinning on its axis.

I would start as a citizen of a city of your choice; you can still roleplay your surviving the djed storm if you wish, the way our time-stamping works allows that.

I hope this answers your question.

Actually yes, it does for the most part. And yes I'll take the advice and first seek out a city I really wanna play in and then research further into what the hell happenend in that regeon and figure out how my char would have reacted to that.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Hey Crial! I'm Mikael. Welcome to Mizahar. Looks like you're pretty ahead, too. Well I wanted to show you some links that you might find interesting to check out. =)

Well, first thing you should check out is:
--- The Starting Guide
--- Rules (highlights include: 1 character per account, 5 accounts allowed, and your characters cannot interact with each other in any way or form, or benefit from each other.)
--- Terms of Use
--- Creative Manifesto (This is super important! We're all about originality and not doing the same old cliches over and over and over and... well you get the idea.)

Followed by these links:
--- Starting Package (very important, it gives you your initial set of skill points and gear)
--- Races (There are 20 totally original races here, so simply playing to a racial norm means your character will be unique!)
--- Skill List (keep in mind that most of these are not fully developed, and some skills are not listed)
--- Magic List (magic is cool, but it does have its consequences-- don't ignore them)

You should post your character in a thread here. It's okay to post it even if it's a Work-In-Progress (WIP):
--- Character Sheet Forum

Here's some information on where you can start. It's important to research the lores on the cities before starting there, too:
--- Where to Start Out
--- City List (there's a very useful summary at the bottom of the page. Colombina is awesome!)

Lastly, some other important links. Feel free to ask for help if you don't understand, but with practice, you'll pick them up like a second nature.
--- Timestamping (this is a mandatory thing to learn)
--- Calendar
--- Experience Points (you get these after a Storyteller grades your thread. Think of each thread as a mini adventure in your character's life in the world of Mizahar)
