I first stumbled upon a free form roleplaying site around the age of 13. To date that time span is always remembered for creativity and fun. I have been virtually absent from such activity for more than a decade and hopefully a home has been found to nurture that desire.

I look forward to reading up more on your sites lore and meeting the active roleplayers!

Hey Aolther. Welcome to Mizahar. :)

I'm afraid this character sheet is in the wrong place. You're looking for the Character Sheet forum. This one is just for OOC introductions. :)

I suggest taking another look through the Starting Guide and maybe re-reading the Drykas lore. The Drykas don't have "Houses", but "Pavilions", and they don't really have things like wealth. They're a nomadic culture that follows a seasonal migration across the region of Cyphrus. One thing people often miss is that Drykas are polygamists, a normal Drykas family would have two or three wives at once. It would be perfectly normal for brothers not to share the same mother.

We're not exactly a free form roleplay site. It's a continuous world with well established lore. Understanding the background is a bit of an undertaking, but once you have it under your feet, it's so totally rewarding and amazing. So please, don't be discouraged. Just make sure you thoroughly read your Starting Guide PM and if you have any questions, you can come find us in chat. :)

Alright I will move the character sheet to a proper location and rework some of the cultural details. Just need to absorb the philosophy a bit more.

As for free form I suppose I liberally use the term. This world and website seem very solid and that is a good thing.

Where is a good location to check up on current story lines?

Greetings and welcome Aolther.

If you'd like to see a current list of role-plays going on you can see them on the home page, or you can scan through the forums for the various cities.

I look forward to seeing you out on the grass.

Sincerely,
Lariat.

Welcome, Aolthor! =) I got something for ya, mate:

Well, first thing you should check out is:
--- The Starting Guide
--- Rules (highlights include: 1 character per account, 5 accounts allowed, and your characters cannot interact with each other in any way or form, or benefit from each other.)
--- Terms of Use
--- Creative Manifesto (This is super important! We're all about originality and not doing the same old cliches over and over and over and... well you get the idea.)

Followed by these links:
--- Starting Package (very important, it gives you your initial set of skill points and gear)
--- Races (There are 20 totally original races here, so simply playing to a racial norm means your character will be unique!)
--- Skill List (keep in mind that most of these are not fully developed, and some skills are not listed)
--- Magic List (magic is cool, but it does have its consequences-- don't ignore them)

You should post your character in a thread here. It's okay to post it even if it's a Work-In-Progress (WIP):
--- Character Sheet Forum

Here's some information on where you can start. It's important to research the lores on the cities before starting there, too:
--- Where to Start Out
--- City List (there's a very useful summary at the bottom of the page. Colombina is awesome!)

Lastly, some other important links. Feel free to ask for help if you don't understand, but with practice, you'll pick them up like a second nature.
--- Timestamping (this is a mandatory thing to learn)
--- Calendar
--- Experience Points (you get these after a Storyteller grades your thread. Think of each thread as a mini adventure in your character's life in the world of Mizahar)
