A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

It was a pretty lovely night in the city of Ravok. There were many stars in the sky and it was a pretty good temperature like it most was in Ravok. It was a warm night with a small breeze. Though the city seemed peaceful at night it wasn't very much so. Jeram was patrolling around at night as he wasn't really tired and didn't want to go home yet, he had managed to borrow an Ebonstryfe uniform so he didn't want to waste the opportunity to walk around in it. He was in a small alley that was connected by bridge to the another side of the canal. Most of the day had been pretty normal so he was hoping he would get some action before heading off to bed. Though soon enough he got himself caught in a little situation as there was a lot of desperate people in Ravok.

There had been a group of three dead beats lounging around in the alley that Jeram had happened to come by. They didn't look to tough but of course if something happened there was three of them and only one of Jeram. He made sure to keep a watchfull eye on them as he walked by them. Not surprisingly one of them spoke up when he walked by. "You look like a man that has some money" one of the three thugs said to him. "How about handing over whatever you have on you?" he said while drawing out a shortsword, to which the other two also drew out.

Jeram was quick to respond by quickly drawing out his shield and blocking the first blow by one of the thugs to which he followed up by bashing him in the face with his shield. After that Jeram proceeded to punch the second thug in the face which sent him sprawling backwards. Jeram didn't have as much time though to attack the third man so had had to block his attack and move backwards. This might be a little hard for him but he still had his flail if needed. He didn't want to kill them as he could easily bring them in to the Vitrax prison for some good old fashion torturing.

The Warrior and the Witch (Yaotl)

"Got your claws out tonight, Stryfe?" Yaotl slipped from the other side of the soldier's combatants. She was dressed in a pale gown, a cloak clasped at her throat with the hood drawn to keep her hair from flying about in the wind. Her green eyes were frozen shards of emerald in the shadow of her hood, hard and bare and unfeeling as she eyed the quartet struggling with one another. "All alone and having the time of your life, are you?"

It probably wasn't a good idea to bait a soldier in the middle of a fight, but she was feeling peckish lately and had the urge to stab something at least once. Stabbing an Ebonstryfe soldier was a bad idea in itself, but she didn't recognise him and these lowlifes would be in no condition to identify her. The soldier was up for game.

"And you, scum," when Yaotl pointed at a bleary-eyed assailant, a sharp gleam refracted off whatever weapon she had attached to her hand. Her wrist razor had been donned before she had revealed herself. "He's wearing the uniform of the Ebonstryfe. Don't you think, or are you that drunk or stupid you couldn't tell?"

She had raised her voice, so frustrated at the stupidity of the common cutpurse was she. What were criminals coming to these days? Were they so hard for cash they would attack an agent of the city?

Her arms crossed under her cloak as she surveyed the scene. She didn't offer help, and probably wouldn't give it to either party. She had business for being out so late. It didn't involve careless soldiers and dumb ass thieves.

The blood-lusting part of Yaotl had to admit a fancy for the violence, or else she would have continued on her merry way after the words were spoken. There was a simple poetry to the sight of a man having his face beaten in, and a beauty to the sawed off hand laying in a pool of blood. Krysus be praised, she had a beautiful power over people.

During the middle of the fight Jeram heard something he didn't expect to hear. A woman's voice saying "Got your claws out tonight, Stryfe?" he heard the voice speak from a small distance away. As he looked to see the woman he managed to dodge a slash towards his neck. The woman was definitely a sight. He only got a glimpse but from what he could tell she seemed pretty elegant with a stunning gown. Right before she spoke again Jeram managed to roundhouse kick one of the thugs in the kick of the head and sent him sprawling to the ground unconscious. "All alone having the time of your life, are you?" he heard from her again as he prepared to take on the last two men.

"Thanks for the small lecture" Jeram said as he parried one of the men's attacks with his shield. So what's a pretty thing like you doing out this late at night? It can be pretty dangerous." he uttered out as he sent another punch to one of their chests sends him back, gasping for air. "He's wearing the uniform of the Ebonstryfe. Don't you think, or are you that drunk or stupid you couldn't tell?" was heard from the woman again as the fight continued. Jeram was now tired of fighting these guys like this so he figured it was time to get a little more serious. He then proceeded to draw out his flail from his side and began to swing it in a vertical circle. Okay then fellas, shall we let the fun come to an end now? was said by Jeram which made the two men back up as his weapon got closer to them.

One of the thugs made a desperate attempt to attack Jeram which was easily blocked by his large shield then he countered with his flail, knocking the man's sword out of his hand and most likely breaking his hand in the process. While the man was distracted with his hand Jeram took the time to ram him with his shoulder, knocking him down and leaving him gasping for air again. The third man then flinched form what just happened and looked like he was about to try and run away. "You should finish what you started!" Jeram said in excitement as he swung his flail with full force at the man's side, which most likely fatally injured him and also left him laying on the ground with blood spilling out of him. Oh well, the people will probably just think it was a simple crime that happened here."

Jeram then turned around and realized that one of the two had escaped. It was a shame as he was ready to take them to the Vitrax for torturing. At least the one he had knocked out earlier was still there and Jeram would make sure of that. Just then he remembered that the woman was still there. "Sorry about that." he said, while locking his misty blue eyes with her piercing green ones. "Sometimes you just have to take care of people. I should probably introduce myself. My name is Jeram, though i'm wearing the outfit i'm not actually a full Ebonstryfe soldier, I am but an apprentice at this time." he said while giving a slight bow when he introduced himself. He knew to behave well around elegant women.
