Kay placed her hands on the counter in front of her, palms spread over the cool worktop. Dark eyes watched as the pair of true kestrels settled themselves onto one of the bowls that the pale woman had laid on the floor. A voice pulled her attention back up, and she met the yellow gaze of the blue skinned woman.
"Ah, it is nice to meet you too. Properly, that is." Kay smiled again. "Thank you for helping me back out there." There was genuine sincerity in her thanks. Without the woman - Raiha - she would still be outside with a stick embedded in her feathers. Kay had a dull ache near the top of her left arm which was obviously where the injury had carried over from her kestrel form. It was likely a bruise, but it didn't bother the girl enough for her to check.
"Your kestrels are truly lovely." She gave Raiha another smile before turning to look at the paler woman. Her smile remained in place, but her eyes held a curious shine. "It is nice to meet you too." She paused, and her head tilted slightly as she asked her question. "If I may ask...how did you tell?"
