Thalia is ambitious and power-hungry. She has a myriad of long-term and short-term goals which she tends to keep hidden, and determining her objective in an interaction is often a difficult process. She believes in the power of knowledge and secrets (but also in the power of a fist and a sword), and has made it her business to learn about Ahnatep politics in order to improve her own societal sway. She also has dreams of domination outside of the city, however, that even she doesn’t fully comprehend yet.
The Eypharian makes her living from corruption, manipulation, and dishonesty, so it comes as no surprise that she herself is corrupt, manipulative, and dishonest. While she is capable of making temporary allies, Thalia ultimately looks after only herself. She has no qualms about turning her back on a deal if it’s in her own interest, and is generally an untrustworthy woman.
Thalia, like most Eypharians, is openly racist. She is fond of treating animalistic races like pets or monsters and humanoid races as throwaway objects, but she is usually able to control her blatant racism if a member of another race proves useful to her. Her racism contributes to her being a firm supporter of slavery, however, and she has made this fact well known. She aspires to own a wide selection of slaves and concubines (and potentially become involved in the economics of the slave trade itself) and she places high value on a slave’s skill and beauty.
She is attracted to power and beauty in others. She gravitates towards both men and women with these characteristics, and she is quick to fall in lust. Thalia’s attraction to power makes her more susceptible to the lure of magic and the darker religions, however, which may turn out to either hurt or help her in the long run.
Being an Eypharian, Thalia is very competitive. She is easy to anger (and gets particularly annoyed when she loses), but can usually control herself within minutes if necessary. She is not, however, quick to forget or forgive. She pushes herself very hard, and her self-confidence in her own abilities has a tendency to turn into over-confidence. More often than not, she thinks she’s capable of more than she actually is and prefers to ignore her weaknesses rather than face them.
