[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Yernaver on July 13th, 2012, 4:22 pm

6st Summer 512

It was early evening and after a hard day searching for any valuable information he had learned that the tavern Silver Silver lost its recipe for the ale it produces.
Thus a reward was promised for anyone who recovered it, and a lifetime of free drinks, the last part wasnt that interesting at least not like the money.

Yernaver walked throught the streets to where the tavern was located he planned to learn a bit more from a patron or two, he entered the tavern it was packed ,but there was a spot at an empty table nearby the canal ,he quickly maked his way there and sat where a barmaid came to him "What will you have Sir" she asked him.
"Give me an ale" he replied to her reaching his pouch and taking out his copper mizas.

oocHope tis a good start

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Vondra Valencia on July 15th, 2012, 12:00 am

Vondra was decidedly skipping her duties, not necessarily by choice it was a long and complicate story for another time involving a few gold mizas, a dare and some very broken furniture. Not sure of where to place herself where she wouldn’t get caught too went to the most obvious place hoping her mother would look there last. The place she slipped inside was none of than the Silver Sliver, one of the few taverns her mother had worked at.

Though it smelt ripe and the bodies jostled around her, it was a familiar sense of coming home after a long trip, she always felt that way in bars. It was a pleasant feeling. Walking self-assuredly to the bar and teasing a few patrons along the way who insisted she worked there (bit too much ale for them) before sliding up to bar and finding a seat beside another gentlemen who had just ordered.

Truth be told Vondra had another reason for heading to the tavern that being that part of the bet involved a rumor of sorts. It also involved the alluring promise of free drinks. Free drinks would attract customers for her which meant she could try her hand at this thief finding job. Not to mention she could probably get a permanent guide so she would not have to feel her way around and constantly ask for subtle directions.

Waving her hand and leaning much too close to the another patron Vondra called out delicately for a mug of ale, sliding her coin across the table with practiced ease and made herself comfortable. She didn't bother to sit though for she couldn't feel the seat behind her and did not favor falling onto the air. Instead she held herself steady and the bar. Knowing she would be tended to and it was unlikely that anyone would notice her little problem.

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

The rumor of the missing recipe had spread like wildfire through the patrons of the Silver Sliver, and their friends, and their friends' friends, eventually reaching the ears of almost everyone in the city. There was no telling how many versions of the rumor there were, or how much it had changed in the telling, but the most pervasive seemed to be that a reward of "free drinks for life" was on the line. Needless to say, this attracted many desperate alcoholics, all trying to cash in on the reward, which was a big part of why the tavern was so crowded.

Many patrons, like the such as the already-drunk man to Vondra's left, had made up their own recipes for the famous beverage, trying to pass them off as the real thing to collect the reward. Vondra's order could barely be heard over the din, but the bartender took her coin and slid a full mug scraping noisily across the bar, all without interruption his conversation with the drunken sot.

"How d'ya know 's not th' real thing? Nobod's ev'r seen it, an' I say I got it in my hand right here!" the drunk slurred, waving a rather disheveled-looking piece of parchment around.

To which the large and surly bartender grumbled, "If that's the recipe for the Silver Sliver, then my mother's the Voice." Then he glanced over at the table where Yernaver was seated and barked, "You there! Hurry up with those orders! We've got a lot of customers to serve!"

The girl taking Yernaver's order jumped in surprise, a look of panic crossing her face for a moment. Like all of the barmaids that evening, she looked extremely stressed out. In a demure voice she told Yernaver, "I'll have that ale for you right away, sir." Then she hurried off to try to attend to all of the demanding customers before they became too sober.

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

OOC :
So, Yernaver went ahead and gave me his posting turn, if that is alright. If not we can fix it :)

She was listening with a keen ear, though it was difficult, her attention was wandering already to more interesting activities. Observation was not a strong point of hers however she was acutely aware that there was plenty of people aware of the missing item. Vondra was also aware that doing this own her own would not likely be an option, chances are she would end up proclaiming a blank piece of paper or skewed ramblings was the recipe. Just as it seemed a man to her left seemingly was by his ravings.

Scooting away in an unsubtle manner she leaned to her right, stopping only when she felt the pressure of another. She wasted to time, pushing a little harder for notice and gripping her drink carefully. Placing her arm on the person without permission she then leaned in close to the other to be heard over the busy tavern. “What do you think? Would you guess anyone here has the recipe?”

Her grip tightened momentarily and she chewed her lip slightly, she was used to trying to seduce or persuade people to help her but the end point was usually very different. Nikali what would you do? Her thoughts stalled for a moment before she realized Nikali would likely know how to talk to the other person, know what they wanted. She would have to figure out what this person wanted and give them it. Mutual benefit after all.

“Are you here for the recipe as well? We could probably question the owner.”

As Vondra spoke she released the other person but carefully kept her body pressed against theirs. A male most likely but physical charms did not always work. Still in her mind it was always worth a shot.

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Yernaver on July 24th, 2012, 5:59 pm

Yernaver was listening and watching as he waited for the barmaid to get his ale it he noted how packed the establishment was he truly was lucky finding a seat so close to the canal.
The barmaid returned quickly back at him with his ale at hand he took a small sip it wasn't half bad.
It was the that he noticed a woman coming towards him drink in hand hrm doesn't look like she work's here she looked a bit off like she was stumbling around, but he just shrugged nothing interesting that he could see, but as she came closer she stopped at him before pressing on him hmm what she wants as she continued pressing on him she leaned and spoke to him interesting seems like she is here for the recipe too.....heh Her and all the poor alcoholics of Ravok most probably he just nodded at he question.

As her grip on his arm gripped he became a bit annoyed as he dint enjoy letting people use him to rest on him.Still looking at her she was beautiful he certainly wouldn't mind making moves later, but now it seemed she was here for the recipe.
As she released his arm Yernaver wondered why she seemed to be making so much....close Contact her body pressing lightly on him oh well might as well play with her
"Maybe but the bartender isn't always the owner still he could know something or point us to the right direction, but lets not forget he seems a bit pre-occupied with every drunkard who wants to pass random sheets of paper for the recipe".
He paused a bit considering his option go to him but there were also the barmaids.
"Hm i doubt anyone else around here would be of any help perhaps a barmaid but they all seem busy do you have any ideas miss"

oocLets plan a bit what to do and then we see?

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Persona on July 26th, 2012, 1:00 am

The barmaids were indeed swamped with customers, and hardly had time to pause for breath before taking orders for "More ale!" or "Here, try this recipe for the Silver Sliver!" It looked like a group across the tavern were actually trying to compose the Silver Sliver recipe from scratch. The barmaids were torn between trying to please customers and risking the barman's increasingly frustrated wrath.

A shout from the bar caught everyone's attention, even the most drunk "Listen up you gut-rotting petchers! The next one of you who shows me a fake recipe is gettin' his arse kicked into the lake!" There was a moment of silence following, but the regular hubbub started up again quickly. Some patrons left after a few chimes, but most stayed, figuring that as long as they were here, they might as well have a drink. The group across the tavern had not given up discussing the Silver Sliver, but at least they had stopped insisting that every one of their recipes be tried, much to the relief of the barmaid.

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Hearing both the shout and her soon-to-be (hopefully) guide she frowned a bit, this wasn’t going to be a walk in the park it seemed. She could lay all her cards on the table but the chances of this man screwing her over were almost guaranteed. Her fingers drummed at the bar briefly and she couldn’t drink anything else, a bit of nervous tension knotting in her stomach. “Maybe we can ask now? We aren’t asking them to look at a recipe just who was the last person they told the location to.”

Sneakily she tried to wind her arm through his so she would know when he left. Obviously he wanted the free drinks or at least to find the recipe but maybe she could get him to cut a deal with her.

“I have a proposition for you first,” she whispered, “we can help in each and split the reward, you can get a larger portion of course but I would also make sure you would always be…taken care of in anyway.”

At this she finally loosely wrapped her arm through his trying to make her intention clear. It would be mutually beneficial. Well, mostly beneficial for her but he didn’t need to know that. So long as she was able to clearly make it seem like her had the better deal of it, it was completely fine.

Waving her free hand as if she knew what she was doing or could even see a barmaid in all the hubbub she made crooked her finger and waited. And Vondra did not have to wait long, hearing the call of one of one of the workers and continuing to speak softly to her new companion.

“Maybe you could ask? I’m sure she would be willingly to answer your quick questions. After all, you feel much more capable than all the other drunks here.”

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Yernaver on August 1st, 2012, 9:44 pm

Yernaver tried to study her a bit she was a bit too clingy for his own tastes not always a bad thing but he was torn between being irritated and enjoying it as he watched her. Before he could say anything or speak his thoughts she spoke first.
“Maybe we can ask now? We aren’t asking them to look at a recipe just who was the last person they told the location to.”
"Yes we should but before we do this you seem quite interested in it yourself too" as he said this she got her arm on him, but the words she spoke after were very interesting to him as a male.

“We can help in each and split the reward, you can get a larger portion of course but I would also make sure you would always be…taken care of in anyway.” this caught his attention it got him sold perhaps he would enjoy her company a bit more and if she was usefull to tracking the recipe he would keep her around to help him again.
"Okay it seems you got a fair bit of ideas lady name's Yernaver nice to meet you" he kinda shaked her hand as he said that if anything from habit.

As she continued he noted her hand calling the barmaids and her proposal it wasnt half bad ask one of them before anything.
"I will by the way it seems you have a silver tongue you sure you dont want to ask her youself?"
He started preparing himself as he noted the waitress coming. This could be easy he would use a bit hypnosis firstly to relax a bit the waitress make her a bit more chatty by relaxing her add a small command for the other times, he was bound to come either way after this he was gonna enjoy it.

oocsorry for the delay the monsters almost got me of rl :p btw Vondra you are playing a smart game(or good game?) btw so much arm wrapping ara ara @_@ .

[The Silver Sliver] A night to remember

Postby Persona on August 3rd, 2012, 11:30 pm

The barmaid who had served Yernaver earlier tried not to look too stressed when he beckoned for her again. It was even odds whether more ale would make any given man be pleasant to be around or more of a pain. Still, it was her job, and Rhysol knew she had to do her job. She just couldn't afford to lose this one...

Forcing a grin as she approached the table, she asked, "What'll it be?" By the Voice, she would be glad when her shift was over. The recipe being stolen had absolutely wrecked her nerves...and yet... Suddenly, her features relaxed into a more honest smile. She couldn't understand why she felt better, not realizing that she had looked into Yernaver's eyes, and not understanding what he was doing.

She almost thought that he might be one of the more decent guys in the tavern that night, but then she realized there was a whore on his arm, and snapped out of it. This man was a pig, like the rest. She hoped that whatever he wanted could be dealt with quickly.
