Thanks Surei, I sent a PM to Chevalier to get all that stuff sorted.

Another question I feel can probably be answered with a link; I've seen that people tend to have very similar items as part of their starting pack. (e.g. comb, razor, eating knife)
So I wondered if there is some sort of universal starting pack that everyone gets to begin with? Are there any variations or exceptions to this (Like some people have heirlooms) and how limited are they? I doubt anyone is allowed to inherit something immensely valuable like a full suit of armour and weapons made from Isurian steel.

A last piece of advice: You can add a link to your character sheet on your profile to the left. Just go in "User Control Panel"-->"Profile" and copy-paste the link to your CS in the appropriate location. It'll help everyone discover your character so you can we can all have a better experience.

Hi everybody!

The more I look around, the more questions I come up with. This time it's regarding timelines.

Roleplaying a thread that spans one day IC could in fact take 1 week in real time. How does this sort of thing compute when it comes to calculating your income and expenses etc? (Vague question I know but I struggled to word it right.)

Also, how regular should updates to one's ledger be? Should I be updating every day's income and living expenses, or just calculating it once a week? Maybe even less frequently?

There's probably another thread I should start posting my questions in, this once seems to have derailed somewhat from a regular welcome thread. >.>

P.S. Thank you Tsura!

I'd say that you should update your ledger regularly, except your job income and living expenses. Those would be added at the end of the season I've heard. If it's anything out of the ordinary though, say you bought a bucket or a dagger, then that should be subtracted from your ledger as soon as possible.

My opinion of course. They say that you have to keep your CS updated.

Hope that helps.

From your Friend,
-Gale

Gale is correct. All purchases and specific expenses need to be updated right away. ST's may have to hold off grading your threads, if your ledger is not up to date.

This includes things like, say, buying beer or dinner at a tavern.

However, you do NOT need to update your daily meals and such until the end of the season. Eating out at a restaurant, you deduct right away. But season long living expenses are deducted as a single bulk rate at the end of the season. Your pay if you have a job is also added in as a single salary at the end of the season (which is August 31st).
