Volinir Orchid Physical Description Name: Volinir Orchid Race: Symenestra Age: 34 Birthday: 42nd of Summer, 479AV Character Concept Appearance: A lanky and disheveled man. Volinir has a rather handsome face with dark silver hair that reaches his shoulders and milky skin. He has amethyst eyes, long claws, and generally goes barefoot, with his soles dirty and worn as a consequence. There are whip scars on his back, and pink rings on his neck, wrists and ankles from manacles. There are a few marks on his face from cuts, and his left arm is slightly shorter than his right, though it’s barely noticeable. Personality: Volinir acts snide, belittling, and dismissive to others for the most part, and has little patience or fondness for small talk, all with the intent to push people away. His true nature may shine through once or twice, but for the most part the façade holds up. He does this both to spite a world he considers cold and uncaring, and to keep people away from what he thinks is a source of woe. When he lets his armor down, he’s animated and passionate, kind and affectionate. He’s quite empathetic and will help others… Usually. His morals are indubitably Symenestra, though. Because of his crushing failure and the years of slavery that resulted from it, he harbors a deep sense of shame that prevents him from going home, or moving forward. He will not return to Kalinor until he has redeemed himself, though he’s not sure what exactly that entails yet. He’s also quite jumpy, and doesn’t like being startled. Gaining his trust is difficult, but worthwhile.
