Character's Name: Emma
Basic Information:

Race: Kelvic
Birthday: 65th day of winter, 506 A.V.
Gender: Female
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 120 lbs.

Physical description:
In her animal form, Emma is a Sand Cat (Felis Margarita). In human form, she's a thin girl, looking near 17. Her slit pupils stay in this form, along with pointed teeth, triangular ears, and elongated nails. Her hair is blonde, but she has been known to dye it various colors when she has the money. She also possesses a tattoo on her back of a map (More description later)

Character Concept:
Born on the outskirts of Sunberth, Emma never knew her family. All she knew was that her mother had been a mouse Kelvic, her father a dog (the irony thick with their daughter being a cat), and had both been bonded to A man named Ludo. After her birth, both had disappeared, sent on a journey by Ludo treasure hunting and simply disappearing. With the kitten left behind, Ludo took her in, raising her.

The man, a relatively wealthy human, had tried to raise the young Kelvic as a human child, forcing things like book learning upon her. However, Emma had never been keen on the subject, and learned next to nothing from it. Well, except how to pick the locks on the windows, or take things from her tutor's desk without him knowing. Soon she was breaking out into the city, and getting into every sort of trouble.

Ludo, finally fed up with the girl, had a plot. In the dead of the night, he sent a mage in to enchant the girl, giving her a tattoo that would point to where her heart desired most to go. Doing so, he began to use her to find treasures, telling her where he had sent her parents she so wished to find, actually telling only of infamous treasure troves. He would then plant clues to say that they had moved to the next valuable site. He would have taken on the tattoo himself, except that it drew upon the energies of her life force, causing extreme pain whenever it moved, which was more often the closer one got, as it could be more exact. Each found treasure was a near death experience for the child, but as she learned to hide the pain, to overcome it, she was also realizing how Ludo was playing her.

One night, after returning from a final trek, Emma made her move. She stole out of her room, and broke into Ludo's private library. She stole the tome Ludo had used for information on the caches, but never having learned to read, she was unaware that it was in an ancient tongue. When she found this, she was re-directed to a library in Riverfall, and set out there for a translator, set on finding her family, even if she had to go through the book one location at a time.

Side notes: Emma has a number of small quirks. She enjoys standing out in a crowd for her (at times questionable) fashion sense. She also behaves closer to her animal form than many of her kind, easily distracted by feather ornaments, greatly enjoying curling up near any heat source even in human form, and prone to sudden changes in mood. She also suffers from Kleptomania, a mental condition where she takes objects based on her interest in them without realizing it, which is the root of much of her Larceny skill.

A thief is never sorry for stealing, or tricking their victim, or being a thief in general. If fact, the only thing they really are sorry for, it seems, is being caught.
