"Well this is all great news," she said, the relief in her voice almost palpable. "It's all worked out perfectly. I really do appreciate you giving me a job here, I can tell I'm going to love it." The trip to the stables was a quick one, and she was delighted with the sight along the way of so many horses living in the Sactuary. It was like the dream home she'd always imagined. Animals everywhere. "It's ironic that you can use a dagger so well, I've actually been wanting to learn for a while now. I have one but haven't gotten around to using it. Maybe you could give me some lessons if we have downtime?" she inquired, just about the time Tasival squealed with delight at the sight of his mother. Gianne smiled crookedly, very interested in his appearance. Of course she'd never seen an Akontak. So the blue skin akin to his father and the light eyes and hair graciously provided by the genetics of his mother were quite the combination to behold. Yet she thought it looked good, in the unique sort of way. Her main thought was that he was darn cute. Gianne was one of those women who looked forward to one day being a mother, and she automatically envied Kavala for the fact that she had such an apparently wonderful little boy. She also gave a tentative wave to Aweston when the introductions were said. "It's good to meet you. I look forward to working with you." Anyone who liked horses enough to work with them got automatic points in her book. A few more words between Kavala and Aweston and the two of them set off once more, now with Tasival in tow. It was obvious there was a lot of work to be done here at the Sanctuary. Gianne originally had no idea that the storm in the spring had reached so far southwest. She led a bit of a sheltered life, though. Several buildings were just ruined remains of what they once were, while many others were in different stages of reconstruction. It was still an impressive place nevertheless. There would definitely be plenty of work to do, which was good because she hated to be idle. Once below ground things were even more interesting. The fact that everyone lived under the surface of the complex was fascinating. And she got her own room. Perks! Like a little girl getting a present, she opened each door, examining their interiors closely. A few moments of thought and she had decided. Closing the rest of the doors she left hers open. "I like this one," she announced with satisfaction. It reminded her of the outdoors; maybe the tint of the walls. Gianne then smiled at the mother and son pair, talking quietly amongst themselves.
