4th day of Fall, Right after Icewatch brought back news of Death

Never would Druna have thought a Icewatch member would die from an attack of this nature. She watched as the party moved away, heading to the barracks no doubt. Some of the people she so 'gracefully' moved out of her way, seemed to understand her actions now. They said nothing as they left to continue their life, already seemingly forgetting of the disturbance. Druna didn't move, her eyes staring off in the distance, her memories of that day coming forth.

Loucuis and her walked together. He threaded his fingers through hers, a shiny ring placed just moments upon on her hand. She was happy, in love and only thinking of what the future would hold. Really they should of been more alert. Watching the wilderness besides each others eyes. After all they where supposed to be on watch. The memory flashed in her head, if only she would of known, Druna could of saved him, or so she believed. She quickly shook the memory of that day away.

Yes she made that same walk, and it nearly killed her. "To close.." she mumbled to no one as she turned to walk away. Bumping in to a man that she didn't know was behind her. If she was paying attention earlier, she would of known that it was the same man she practically thrown out of her way when trying to get through the crowd. But she wasn't, and totally dismissed his disgruntle annoyance.

"Petching idiot just standing there."
She mumbled as she went to move around him.

After math: death comes to all (Coren; Open)

Postby Coren on September 23rd, 2012, 7:45 pm

The first time he had been nearly thrown out of the way by the woman, he had grumbled some choice words underneath his breath but kept quiet. Who the hell did that woman think she was? After he had seen what he had to see from what had happenend he was about to walk away. Only to be once again bumped into by the same woman. Coren's eyebrow twitched in irritation. What was she? Blind, stupid, just trying to annoy him? When the last thought made its way through his mind he scowled. It had to be that, she probably was one of those spineless vantha who knew he was a mage and wanted to scorn him for it, but didn't dare to do it in an obvious way. Fearing his reprisal.
If coren had been thinking straight he would have discarded the thought immediately, but mages weren't really known for their ability to actually think straight especially when suffering from minor paranoia.

He put his right arm into his pocket and let his djed surge through it, pushing out his astral body of the arm in one practiced action. He looked over his shoulder towards the woman who was still walking away and grabbed on of her legs and gave it a quick yank, pulling her out of balance.
After he had done that he quickly let go of her leg, he didn't want to arise suspicion.

One moment Druna was walking away lost in her thought, and then the next, she was falling face first. She only had enough time to throw her hands out in front of her to catch the ground before she did a faceplant. Growling she slowly got off the ground looking to rip someones head off. Who in their PETCHING MIND would trip an Icewatch member?! Someone who had no self preservation. She thought, as she readied herself to pound someones head in. Her eyes flashed yellow from anger as she looked behind her, for surely they would be standing there.

"What the petc....." Confusion flashed across her face, for there was no one standing there. Druna quickly went to examine the remaining town folks. All of them seemed to be just as puzzled for how and why she fell. Some even shocked that she lost her balance seemly over nothing but air.

Quickly she examined the area for a fleeting man or woman, or someone that looked guilty of the"crime" Druna was slowly building up in her head. Only her eyes falling on a man, who hood of his cloak covered his face. Finding someone to question, she pointed her finger at him as she spoke. "Hey you! What did you see?!"

She walked closer to the man, sencing his annoyance, she smirked, maybe she found the one who tripped her. Now to find the evidence.

To trip a Polar Bear (Coren; Open)

Coren kept quiet as the woman fell and scrambled back to her feet, keeping the amusement out of his face and body language as good as he could and hoped that she would ignore him and move on.
Unfortunately the woman was steadfast in her search and finally ended up pointing her finger at him and demanded him to tell her what he had seen.

“Well.” Coren said trying to mimic a slightly bewildered voice. “I saw you walking away and suddenly you just fell. As if you had tripped over thin air.” He gave a few looks at the people standing around, hoping to hear some confirmation from them. Luckely for him the mayority gave a nod or muttered a quick that's the same thing I saw. He turned back towards the woman. He felt quite sure about the fact he wasn't going to be caught in the act, seeing as the majority of the crowd saw exactly what he had seen.
“Maybe the shock of what you have seen a while ago was a bit to much of you?” Coren said with as much of concern he could feign in his voice.

Something about this hooded man rubbed Druna in all the wrong places. She didnt like the smug way he so "sincerely" pointed out that her tripping was nothing but a trick of the air. A small growl wanted work its way out. How she wished she could just strangle this cloaked man. Who the hell is he to make a fool out of me? Ignoring the crowd's agreement with this mans story, she narrowed her eyes at her prey. "Impossible. I felt something pull on my leg. Surly the air can not pull my weight from under me." Druna spoke as evenly as she could muster. She avoided the mans suggestive comment about on her mind being to over whelmed about the death of her comrade. While it was true she was quite taken back and angered about the death, and she wasn't paying very close attention of what was going on around her, it still didn't mean she was so distributed that she would trip over nothing but air. And yet she knew she felt something tug on her leg.

"You had to of seen something, for you where looking directly at me." She spoke as she slowly started to circle the man. She took in all the detail that was evident. He smelt of sweat and something she couldn't lay her finger on, his cloak cover all of his body, and the way he was slouching. Oh how Druna couldn't stand slouchers. "Stand up straight!" She practically growled at him from his back, "Show some pride in yourself." People slouched one of two reason, one, they have no self confidence, or two, they wanted to be over looked by the public. Druna noted this a suspicion, but also a pet peeve of hers.

Circling around to the mans front she crossed her arms. Looking at the mans hooded face, her lips twitched in aggravation. Perching people and not looking at someone as they speak to you. Disrespectful. Druna had to fight the earge to reach over and rip the flimsy cloth from the cloak, then demand he looked at her as she addressed him. "What is your name Vanitha?"

An after thought entered her mind as she asked for a name, flex...She remembered a recruit using it on a wolf...maybe its not what he had seen, more what did he feel...She growled proving that would be far harder then just finding a witness. Frustration once again rolled over Druna. Perching fool was going to get away with it.

To trip a Polar Bear (Coren; Open)

Postby Coren on October 7th, 2012, 7:25 pm

Coren looked at her strangely after those words. “Nobody was close enough to pull on your leg, so nobody could have pulled on your leg.” he said, annoyance beginning to seep into his voice. He kept calm, nobody had seen it and he doubted the simpleton in front of him knew enough about magic to figure out what he had done. He smiled underneath the mask, completely certain in the fact she wasn't able to find any evidence to support her suspicions.
“I already told you what I saw. Nothing, you seemingly just stumbled over the air and fell on your face.” He said politely, pausing for a few moments waiting for the woman's reaction, hoping she just gave up and let him walk away. When she just began circling him as if he was some kind of prey he knew he was talking to a kelvic. A vantha wouldn't do things like that for sure.

When she suddenly yelled at him to quit slouching he shot upright out of habit, only to sag back down a moment later with a scowl on his hooded and masked face. They weren't in boot camp for gods sake and he gritted his teeth at the pride comment, he had more then enough pride in his abilities as a mage and his knowledge of the arcane.
When she finally stopped circling and stood once more in front of her with a scowl on his face coren met her look without to much trouble. When she asked his name he replied quickly.
“My name is coren.” He didn't even bother giving his holdname anymore, both sides of that conflict didn't want to get linked to each other anymore anyway.
“And would it kill you to not treat me as a new recruit in the icewatch, it gets on my nerves.” he added in a polite tone, though a hint of annoyance was seeping through.

Druna laughed, of course he didn't like being treated as an Icewatch recruit. And in truth of the matter he didn't deserve the respect that a recruit would receive. He would be eating alive by the men and women that lay down their life everyday for his safety, like the poor man that laid dead in the barracks. Looking away a small angry smirk framed her lips. "Do I look foolish minded to you?" Her eyes flashed dark blue. "Ill minded, incoherent, like an imaginative minded soul?" her voice dripping in serious sarcasm. She looked at him, still irritated about not seeing his eyes. "Let me answer for you, its no. I don't have time to be imaginative nor time to be foolish. Lives rely on us on a daily basis, including yours." She dipped her head down to speak lower, her voice turned threatening, "I cant prove what you did nor can I do anything about it...for now..But Coren, you need to understand I will be keeping a close eye on you. One slip up, if I even hear of a wrong doing from you, I will deliver quick and just punishment," steadying her voice at the end. Druna leaned up and looked at the man named Coren one last time, taking in his smell, "Thank you for your cooperation Coren. I'll be seeing you around." she spoke as if nothing happened, turning on her boot and heading off to the barricks. She needed to hit something, hard.

“No, you don't look ill minded, imaginative or incoherent to me. But then again most simpletons don't have a mind in the first place to think ill with and nothingness is always quite coherent.” Coren shot back at the woman without thinking it through. “If lives rely on the icewatch then I hope you are an exception in them, otherwise avanthal will be nothing but shattered icestone at the end of fall.”

The first thought after the sentence was, what the hell was wrong with that woman? Just picking anybody out of the crowd and then lording her status as icewatch over that person to try and intimidate him. No matter that he really was the one who did it, that was just a bullheaded way of getting the truth out of somebody, how did that simpleton get accepted in the icewatch. The second one was a single curse as his mind caught up with what his annoyed mouth had thrown out. Insulting an icewatch, great way to get yourself out of trouble.

He restrained himself from spitting out more sentences, just braced himself for any kind of counterattack from the woman and tried to remember the best escape route out of here. What he didn't do however, was to apologize for his words. In his mind and opinion they where the truth about her and the only thing he regretted was saying them out loud into her face, not actually saying them.

To trip a Polar Bear (Coren; Open)

Postby Druna on November 1st, 2012, 5:05 pm

Druna turned on her balls of her feet, a snarl already in her throat. Her hair stood on end, a tingling feeling shot down her spin. Her body begging to change, What in summer hell did this puny little perching twig just say to me!?! Her normal blue eyes flashed yellow, then in an instant, turned a flat black. Her pupils dialating ingalphing the whites of her eyes her true nature trying desperately to make it to the surface. "What did you just say!" Druna's voice was all but a growling festering pool of anger. With three strides she stood in front of Coren, his anger only feeding her own. Bearing her human teeth she steped up to the man. Using her height and size to fill his personal space. Her moist breath came in heated breaths, each accompanied by a snarl. Druna was already thinking about changing and ripping this man apart, limb from limb, only her clothing and a small part of her mind kept her in check. She dared him to repeat what he said, though she heard every word. Her mind on edge to give in to her nature, humanity was already so little in her. The beast was on full alert, only thing that needed to push her over was a single peep from this man. She prayed he said something, just one word and she would show her strength, caring little about the immediate consequences of her own actions. She stood there ready to pounce, ready for her muscles to stretch. Just one word little man... her mind growled.

A young icewatch bear passed in human form, his bondmate and himself heading back to the barracks for some much needed rest. The pair couldn't help but take notice of the now dangerous situation taking place. The Kelvic, even though being bonded himself, knew that an unbonded bear was dangerous, and not fully stable in times of rage. As the other kelvic moved closer he could see how close Druna was to loosing control, which would surly result in the disfigurement of the man. Worried for the mans safety, and Druna's mental state, he yelled at the two "Druna!" With quick movements, he grabbed the female under her shoulders, trying to lock his fingers behind her head, pulling her away from the cloaked man. Druna snapped her human jaws, fight winning over her as she pushed her backside towards the kelvic, trying to free herself from his grasp. Druna was only successful in loosening his grip enough to turn around. The kelvic, being stronger then the female, quickly pulled her to his chest, locking her arms in and placing her in a tight embrace.

Druna growled in frustration knowing two things, one she couldn't change, and two she was in trouble. She gave up fighting as her animal brian processed that her opponent was far stronger, the kelvic male snarled his human lips as he pulled her away to the barracks. Druna knew that once she is there, that a collar fitted for a human would be placed around her neck, diminishing her choice to change. She then would be placed into a room where she would remain till they knew she was stable.

The human icewatch member watched his bondmate take the female away. His eyes truned to the cloaked man, "You, come with us."
