Spring 85, 510AV
The air was crisp and cold, unusually so for this late in spring, and that was probably why Kamrynn found himself the only person at the hot springs this evening, for who would visit the hot springs when summer was almost upon us?
Kamrynn wiped the sweat from his forehead, his exercises today had been particularly strenuous. He needed to redouble his efforts, that's what this season had taught him, but for now a soak would be nice.
He shrugged off his clothing save for a pair of trunks -the knight still gave modesty careful consideration even though there was no one around- Shivering involuntarily against the cold night air, he endured the chill just long enough to position his sword close to the water's edge... One never knows.
The plunge into the water was heavenly. Warmth and rejuvenation permeated his being like a gift from the gods. He leaned back and floated on the water's surface, looking up at the night sky, taking in all the glory of the heavens above. He breathed in deeply the crisp forest air, then let it out slowly like a drag from a tobacco pipe.
That's right. He remembered. Hadn't he brought a bottle of wine?
