Name: Andor Vidar
Race: Inarta
Birthday: 7th Day of Winter, 285 AV
Age: 25
Gender: Male

Appearance

Eyes: Green
Hair: Flaming Red
Height: 5’9” (175 cm)

Kissed with the flaming crimson hair that is graced by all of the Inarta, Andor is somewhat tall for his age and among his race. His eyes are round, glinting green eyes seem to provide a depth of clarity within them. While his charge of height seems to peak through the crowds, Andor seems to provoke his own sense of superiority with his stature.

Behaviour

Beneath the calm exterior of his mannerisms lies a sense of superiority which permeates within him. At times, it seeps through him and the face of his arrogant demeanour is revealed, tapering to the edge of the stoic stance which he provides himself with a shield.

Yet even deeper, beyond the steely resolve of arrogance lies the realm of intelligence and skill which provides him the ability to back his words and manners with the grace of action. Even so, Ardor seems to find a sense of peace within the manners that he has somehow attained.

His politeness is always marked by a witty remark which can be supplemented with sarcasm, irony and yet he is at loss when it comes to the subtleties of the silver tongue. Nevertheless, when it comes to those who are older than him, especially the Inarta, then he is very respectful and obedient.

History

Tallan Vidar was a Flightleader when he had his first and only child. Apparently some human woman he had shared a tryst with seemed to be heavy with child. Never had he been counting on having a child. The tall Eagle Rider loved only two things: his Dire-Eagle and the Sky.

So it came to pass that Ardor was raised by Tallan, but he never garnered love from the paternal figure. He was prohibited to learn of his mother or the culture of Humans and so with nothing else to bear time away from, Ardor threw himself into his work and studies, learning as much as he could from Tallan. There was a bitter rivalry between father and son. The jealousy grew in bounds as Ardor grew older, watching his father take to the skies.

He promised himself he would become an Eagle Rider and not only a simple one, but a Flightleader just like his father. Taught by the commoners, it seemed Ardor found no pleasantry within those times. His innocence had been lost ever since his father had prevented him from experience the love of parents.

When he turned fifteen, it was evident Ardor was destined to become an Eagle Rider, even with the nature of his half race. He was tall, fit and had a superior intellect. The bonding of the Eagle was a difficult one and it was there that Ardor did not hold back and simply attained what he knew should be his. He had thrown one of the candidates towards the eagle, the talon pierced him and he was grievously injured. Yet that did not abstain the youth from bonding with the Eagle.

In return, the Eagle had a mind just like his own, though somewhat different. When Ardor turned to gaze into the eagle’s eyes, he felt that link being bound, the realm of his thoughts seeming to explode. A fleeting moment later and soon he felt a presence within him.

“Your arrogance blinds you,” a voice spoke in his head.

Ardor was shocked and he stood still. Then he narrowed his green eyes and focussed.

“And your ruse of being wise does not work on me,” he said aloud and it was then the people realised the Eagle had bonded with Ardor.

A few days later, Ardor had named his Eagle. He called him Tiernan, for the plumage of his gold feathers bore him a sense of royalty and gave a hint of being regal. Ardor and Tiernan learnt to respect one another.

At the age of twenty five, Ardor was a remarkable Eagle Rider, but he wished for more. Nevertheless, his father limited his work in hunting. This provided Ardor with the suspicion that Tallan did not wish to have his son rise in the ranks of the Eagle Riders.

And so the young Eagle Rider promised he would defeat his father by achieving just that. To become a Flightleader.
