Let's Thread in Ravok!

Anyone in the Ravok area want to thread? My character is still new, but I think she is pretty well rounded. I am not the best RPer out there, but I will keep the thread lively, so if it becomes boring expect there to be a twist involved, or a "All of a sudden.." event introduced. I am not really looking to thread about fighting just yet, my character isn't much of a fighter. Though if it were training, like maybe hand to hand combat or Archery, then I would be up for that. I am not looking to thread about anything specific, but if you wanted to develop a plot that would be great. But if you just want to write and see where it goes, that will be great too.

So if anyone is out there in the Ravok area, feeling a little bored or doesn't have anyone to RP with, please PM me or post here.


**{ON A SIDE NOTE: My character will be leaving the Ravok area before the end of the Winter season, to travel to Zeltiva to gain some knowledge, so she is not a permanent resident of Ravok. Kelmar's not much of a fighter either, but he's by no means friendly. Problem I have though is finding excuses for him to stop what he's doing to interact with people. If he sees something in your character that he wants to use or manipulate then he will be mighty interested, but otherwise we must discuss!

Incidentally, do you hunt?

That is alright if your character is not very nice, it could make for an interesting thread. She does not have the hunting skill, although she does have skill with the short bow, so she could very well go hunting with someone, and use her short bow.

What I find that he tends to do is engage in a sort of verbal warfare with those who try to impose their own wills on him, and everyone else he tries to sort of... I would say charm, but that's really too warm a word to describe Kelmar. Let's call it familiarizing himself with his target. He is a criminal as well, if that means anything or could fit into any larger plot.

Ah, shame. I'm looking for a hunter see, because the rich families of Ravok are sick of eating fish all Winter and will pay handsomely for someone who can bring in some meat. I was hoping to find a PC to fulfill the role, someone that Kelmar could find and connect to a big name, but no one seems to be a hunter.

Anyway, any particular plots you're looking to fulfill while here in the city of Rhysol?

So he sort of seduces them to get them to open up to him, that way he knows their weaknesses and maybe strengths, making for a easier target?

Ah I see, you should try to find a kelvic wolf or big cat that has the hunting skill, they would do well in that scenario I believe, although if you ever feel like it my character to still go hunting, although then again it may not end with a lot of game.


There is no particular plots I am looking to fulfill, although I am open to any suggestions or ideas of course. I do not mind writing about anything really, although fighting would be my characters weak point, so I am not looking for a fighting thread just yet. That is not to say that I will not be interested in a thread that has action, because I wouldn't mind a action thread. I am pretty flexible really, I do not mind writing about any genre or in any style. We can thread and see where it goes, or we can develop a plot. Either is fine with me.

Not seduces them, that's still too warm a word. Kelmar's more or less an emotionless void see, so anything like seduction tends to fall flat. He's learning persuasion, so he tends to do things where his words can, well, persuade his target into either giving something up or doing as he wants. He still likes to get a feel for his targets, asking certain questions that may elicit a response, so he may better understand them.

I do know a Kelvic, but she doesn't have any wilderness survival to be able to make it very far in the harsh winter outside the city. Right now, Ravok is an island of calm (literally) amidst a harsh winter, and anyone without wilderness survival may not be suited to it. There is an inn where I guess she can stay, but I'm still reluctant to ask. Maybe you two can hook up.

Well, Kelmar's job tends to have its moments. A lot of it is spent listening and following and observing, but every now and then there's something that goes wrong that could result in a chase or he meets someone that he'd rather have protection for. If you character's an archer and has any stealth skill at all, all the better. Just some ideas to get a thread out there, I'd like to develop a deeper plot but honestly I have no idea yet. Give me some time and I'll think of something.
