While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

"The most successful expedition into this area lost over thirty men in battle. Take more than that with you."

Located five days walk northeast of Syliras. The forest floor in this area of the Wildlands is covered thickly with fertile moss. Beneath the moss is contained a sea of bones. These bones appear to be predominately human, but many other races are represented here. Perhaps even more unusual than the bones themselves is the material which these 'bones' are comprised of. Every bone found in this area of the forest, beneath the moss, is made of stone.

These fields are new in the context of recent history, and as such are not common knowledge yet. Wild Djed in the area is modifying the rocky soil, drawing what stone is already present to the surface and transmuting it into the shapes witnessed by travellers. This rampant energy has also infused the moss which is affected by accelerated growth and an iron resilience to temperature change. The vast majority of earthbound plants, trees excluded, have been choked to death by the moss and gone down to join the bones of stone.

Because of the change in the flora, the fauna which feed off the moss are becoming infused with high concentrations of Djed which in turn are devoured by the predators in the area. Gigantism and mutations are not as common here as in Taldera, but they are becoming increasingly more so each season. Fortunately for travelers and the Knights of Syliras, this anomaly only covers 18 square mile. It is growing at a rate of 1 square miles per year, due to the expansion of the moss in the area.

It was in this area, in the Spring of 510 A.V., that the noted archeologists known as the Takke brothers located original notes of Emperor Kovinus' Grand Address. Both they and other archeologists believe that there are other treasures laying beneath the soil of the Bone Fields. It has been speculated by such professionals that something laying beneath the soil could be the cause of this terrain's radical transformation in recent years, but this again is not common knowledge.

OOCBecause of the dangers inherent in traveling The Bone Fields, this is a moderated area. If you would like to adventure here please contact a storyteller via PM, or via their office.
