side characters Arin young girl orphaned in the Djed storm. Mother was apart of the Icewatch. Father isn't in the picture (for reasons yet to be determined). Was being taken care of by a woman in the caravan heading to Syliras until she fell ill from a snake bite. She was then dumped onto Lena to take care of. Aonghas Fellow Denvali, old romantic interest of Lena's. Affection was never returned (not sure if he didn't notice her or wasn't interested. leaning towards the former). Chose to leave the fleet heading towards Zelvita and joined the caravan instead.

Seasons SpringMain theme of season is travel. Making it from Avanthal to Syliras. Lena picks up Arin along the way. Lena is slow to bond, so is Arin. Both lost family members. Arin finds it hard to cope with everything and is closed off. Lena is furious and keeps others at a distance. The caravan they are apart of witness many horrors due to the Djed storms affects on the wildlife and forests. Also are assailed by the jamoura that went insane from the storm. The latter half of the trip involves Arin and lena's bonding and reluctance to leave one another. Lena feels obligated to care for the child. Arin finally asks to stick around and Lena agrees thus adding plot to the next season. How to survive and make a living. summerFor IRL I was away most of the summer season. Thus the season is wrapped up into one thread basically. Lena tries to find work for them. But most places aren't willing to hire a young woman and her pseudo daughter. And since Lena doesn't have enough money for anything resembling housing. She decides to have Arin stay in the orphanage. So she wouldn't have to sleep on the streets with Lena. Arin is dubious about agreeing and worries constantly about lena leaving her there. Eventually Lena finds work in a caravan, one that's also willing to let her bring Arin along. It isn't much but it sets up for next season which is all i could do at the moment. FallAgain, due to IRL problems. Fall was a bit on the slim side. The basic principle for this season is for them to have adventures traveling from city to city in merchant caravans and such. Lena being hired on as a guard and Arin as a cook or helper of some kind. Not much to say other than that. Perhaps I'll revisit this period in time and write up some material. winterPersonal hiatus continues, this will have to be the only thing up. First event to happen is the raid on the caravan Lena and Arin are traveling with. Bandits or whoever will attack in the middle of the night. Seeing that the situation is dire and the camp is overrun. Lena takes Arin and flees to Syliras and the protection of it's knights. When she returns to the city penniless, she gives up hope of making a life with the caravans. At least for now until she and her impromptu ward recover from the incident.
