Dyson Seastrider Basic Information Race: Human, Svefra Birthday & Age : 69th Summer 492 AV (20 Years old) Gender: Male Languages Fluent: Common Basic: Fratava Physical Description With his short unkempt blonde hair, athletic build, and the traditional blue eyes of the Svefra, Dyson stands in at an average height of five foot eleven and a weight of a hundred and eighty pounds. As such he is neither the largest of his people or the smallest.On his back between his shoulder blades is an intricate tattoo of several penguins standing tall together. As for his clothing he prefers to go bare-chested, weather permitting. Otherwise it's usually light tight, fitting clothing with either blue trousers or shorts and a tanish jacket if the weather is particularly chilly. Footwear is rarely worn at all, not even on shore or port cities, with the only exception to this is if he has plans to go further inland then that. Character Concept Dyson is a Hardworking, self sufficient, and loyal individual. While at his core he is a kind and compassionate person he is also not very trusting of others with the exception of his own people and those who have become close to him. He cares deeply for the people and animals around him weather his trust has been earned or not and will do anything short of breaking his peoples laws to protect those people. Due to his long isolation at sea he has also become a bit of a recluse and loner. He is attempting to change that but it is slow going. Other then his livelihood and trusted friends he doesn't take much seriously. He however is more likely and quite capable of becoming quite serious if it involves said trusted friend over any threat to himself. Otherwise he is a very easy-going person and tries to see the best in everyone. He is also not the fighting type, he can defend himself when the need arises but he would much rather avoid a fight. To Dyson killing is the darkest sin one could commit, as such even if his life is in danger it is the one thing he can never bring himself to do, for any reason. Character History Dyson was born to a pod just like any other Svefra though his pod was rather unique. Unlike many Svefra pods who now call the Suvan Sea home, Dyson has yet to lay eyes upon it. His pod has not ventured in that direction since his birth, and instead have lived in the northern and eastern waters. He was raised upon these waters and taught the necessary skills to survive upon them. Contact with other Svefra became rare, so he learned to become more self reliant which was a much needed skill. His pod consisted of it's Lia (his mother), one older sister and three younger ones, and last his oldest sisters mate Callum. Also apart of their pop were a somewhat large family of penguins, and though some of their time was spent near shore out in the seas the penguins swam with them. His strongest bond however was with his oldest sister's mate, his brother in law so to speak even though they were not married. Most of the skills he learned came from him being the only other male apart of their pod. It was from him that he learned to fight and defend himself with his own weapon of choice, a trident. Things continued much like this for some years until Dyson reached the age of thirteen. The winds grew stronger as they skies darkened, a storm was brewing. His family was experienced and had weathered such storms before, though this specific one dwarfed all others they had experienced. They did their best to ride out the storm as it was already too late to escape it's wrath. It was toward the end where it appeared that all would be fine that in one swift strike everything and everyone was taken from him, in the form of a tidal wave. His family gone and their ship destroyed Dyson thought this was how it would end, but by the grace of Laviku he lived on. It took time but he was able to build his own, much smaller ship from the wreckage of his pods ship. The only thing that he managed to recover from the sea was the trident of his friend and sister's mate and a few odds and ends. Orphaned and alone life would never return to any sort of normal after the storm but he continued sail and live in the waters his pod had always called home. Dyson continued much in this way till now, at the age of twenty where he has chosen to head toward the Suvan sea and his people. Religion As a child religion was never a large part of his life. His pod was never the religious type so he in turn wasn't either. He knew of Laviku but never gave the gods much thought until the tragic accident that took his family away. He began to see what happened to him as a form of divine punishment. True or not from that point on he took his people's religion and Laviku more seriously and has attempted to make up for his lack of faith. Likes As one would expect of a Svefra much of his likes are related to the water. He loves to be out in, on, and under the water. Common activities include sailing, swimming, and fishing. Dyson also loves to explore the unknown and try new things. When able he also enjoys helping others in any way. He is quite addicted to the feeling of helping someone accomplish their goals. He also likes to collect small oddities, such as shells, pearls, or anything shiny. At night he loves to stargaze. Dislikes As for dislikes there aren't many as he tries not to hate things. But some of the below can get under his skin. Rude and disrespectful people. People who lie, cheat, steal, or in any way bring harm to others for none or poor reasons. He doesn't like how people treat him differently because of what he is as a race rather then who he is as a individual person. Goals Dyson knows of his peoples reputation as pirates and thieves and that it's not completely untrue. He believes that the Svefra as a whole can be better then that and strives to change people's opinion. His other goals are much more simple. Like any other, what he seeks most is a place to belong. Friends, a lover, a home, children. Anything one would expect of a normal life.

General Information : 1. What is your Name? My name is Dyson Seastrider. Seastrider being my pods name even though it no longer exists. 2. Do you go by a nickname or pet name? Nope, never really had any nicknames or pet names. Not that I will be able to avoid something popping up in the future. 3. How old are you? I was born on the 69th day of summer in the year 492 AV. So that would make be currently twenty years old. 4. What is your height? five foot eleven. It hasn't changed much for the past year or so, so I'm guessing I'm done growing. 5. What is your weight? I'm currently at a hundred and eighty though it fluctuates frequently going up or down a little. Aesthetics : 1. Describe yourself as you see yourself. I see myself as pretty average compared to other Svefra. I do seem to be a little more on the neat and organized side. Hair neatly trimmed. 2. Describe yourself as others typically see you. hmmm... not sure how I would answer, perhaps you should ask these other people for this one. 3. What is your favorite body feature? Favorite body feature!? I've never really thought about it. I guess it would have to be the eyes as it proves our ties to Laviku. 4. How physically fit are you? Fit enough I guess. I'm not pure muscle but neither is there any excess fat. 5. How do you typically dress and what is your style? Tight fitting clothing. Bear-chested if possible. I also rarely wear any type of footwear, it's more comfortable to go without. Family : 1. Who are your parents and what are they like? My mother was the Lia of our pod. My father I'm not sure about as I've never met him. It matters little however as my mother passed away and my father is likely dead as well. 2. Do you have any brothers or sisters? I had four sisters, one older and three younger. But as with my mother they have all passed away. 3. What is your extended family like? Not to sure about this. I think my mother had a few sisters or brothers that were not apart of our pod. So I could still have family out there. But I have no idea who or where they are. 4. Do you consider close friends as important or more/less important than family? I consider close friends to be just as important as family. You might as well already call them family in all but blood. 5. Do you treat animals like family? Yes. Animals are just as much apart of a family as any other. Location : 1. Where were you born? I was born in the Northern waters on our families ship. 2. Where do you live now? I live where ever my ship carries me. 3. If you could live anywhere in Mizahar where would that be? Anywhere I guess as long as it's on the sea. I couldn't imagine trying to live on shore. 4. Do you have a favorite place to vacation or spend leisure time? I've never really been on a vacation, but I spend most of my leisure time upon my own boat. It's a bit small but just right for me. 5. Where do you fear to be? So far inland that the sea cannot be seen. Traits : 1. Do you have any physical weaknesses (disease, scars, and missing limbs?) Not any I'm aware of. 2. Are you right handed or left handed? Both, I use my left and for some things and my right for others. 3. What languages do you speak? What do you sound like? Do you have an accent? I'm fluent in the common tongue. I know Fratava though not as well. I'm out of practice. And no I don't have an type of accent. At least nothing that could be called weird or too strange. 4. Do you have any odd mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? None I can think of. I'm sure there are but at the moment nothing comes to mind. 5. Do you have (or want to get) any tattoos or piercing? Why do you have them (or will get them) ? I do have one tattoo, on my back between the shoulder blades. A pair of penguins. A group of penguins followed our pod around at times so that's why I got it. Occupations : 1. What is your occupation? I take anything i can get. For the large part I haven't needed to work much as I can provide for myself. However I've always got my ears open for any sort of work. 2. Do you like/dislike your work? Why? That would depend on the manner of the work. But I wont not do something for the simple reason that I dislike it. 3. If you could be anything you wanted to, what would you be? I've always thought working in a shipyard would be ideal. Build, selling, and fixing ships of all kinds. And I'd still be near the water. 4. What occupation do you admire the most? Why? I've always admired doctors. What more rewarding job could there be in saving the life of another. 5. What occupation do you lest like? Why? Anything at would involve dirty work. Jobs that require one to do questionable things in order to accomplish them Childhood : 1. What sort of child were you? Normal I guess. There wasn't much trouble to get into on our ship. My childhood was all about learning what I needed to learn to survive. It didn't involve much fun in games. So I took enjoyment from the work. 2. What is your favorite memory from childhood? That first time I got tossed into the sea. The water was freezing but I picked up swimming quickly. Next thing you know I was swimming with the penguins. 3. What is your worst memory from childhood? That would have to be the tidal wave. I had never seen anything of it's like before and it left me alone for a long time. 4. What sort of relationship did you have with your parents? It was good. My mother as good and wise. Never knew my father. Though I have no relations with either now. 5. Who was your most influential role model? My oldest sisters mate, Callum. He was the only male role model in our pod. He taught me a lot. Education : 1. What sort of education do you have? Very basic. I didn't attend any type of school. I learned what I needed to and not much else. 2. Do you like/dislike learning? I like to learn things, some things more then others. 3. Where or how did you learn most of your skills/abilities? I learned most of my skills and abilities on my families boat and then on my own. Mostly through trial and error. 4. How do you learn best? I learn best when left to my own devices. Learn or die so to speak. 5. What are your educational goals for the future? I don't really know. I don't believe a person ever stops learning but I don't know where that might lead. Learning of medicine and magic could prove insightful and useful. Relationships : 1. Do you form close bonds with people? Why? Why not? Depends upon the person and how persistent they are. I find it hard to trust another at first. If given enough time and a bond forms it's not likely to break. Strong friendships are formed for life. 2. Do you trust people easily? If not, why not? Not easily but it can happen. Once again it depends upon each individual. 3. Do you consider yourself straight, gay, bi, or something else? That's a bit personal. Not something I would say one way or another to just anyone. 4. Have you ever been kissed? If so, describe the first time. Other then the kiss from a loving mother when your young no I've never been kissed. 5. Have you ever had sex? If so, describe the first time. No can't say I have. Drugs and Alcohol : 1. Have you ever been drunk? If so, describe your first time. No I have not had much change to drink at all let alone get drunk. 2. Do you like to drink on a regular basis? I haven't drank at all so the answer would be no. 3. What sort of alcohol do you prefer? N/A 4. Have you ever tried drugs (mood altering substances)? If so, which kinds and what did you think of them? I've never had access to any sort of drugs so the answer to this would also be know. From what I hear of it though it's not something I'd likely do. 5. What do you think of drugs and alcohol? Be specific. I don't think much of them at all. Both have a way of changing a person and not the the better. I think it best to avoid their like. Likes and Dislikes : 1. What are your hobbies? At night I lake to stargaze. During the day I like to fish, read if I can get a hold of any books. I like to ix things, boats and ships specifically. I like to collect small odds and ends. 2. Do you like to read? Yes I do like to read, we had a few books on my families ship but sadly they were destroyed. 3. What annoys you more than anything else? When things don't go right, bad luck. Like when you fix something for it to break again so soon. 4. What do you find the most relaxing activity to do? Being upon the sea on a calm night, stargazing. Where you can hear nothing but the sound of the water all around you. 5. What kinds of things embarrass you? Why? Talking of things that are too personal in nature. Some things are not meant for normal conversation and can be hard to talk about when one is not ready to. Favorites : 1. What is your favorite color or colors? Any shade of blue. 2. What is your favorite time of day? Night, a clear night sky can be an amazing sight to behold. 3. What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? Again the night sky. Though to be more specific up nothing in the colder climates auras can be beyond belief. dancing lights in the night sky. 4. What do you like to eat? What do you hate to eat? Typically fish or any type of seafood. Though I do like to try new things. As for foods I don't like. That would be hot and spicy things. Also squid, or octopus, or anything that is slimy. 5. What is your favorite type of weather? Does any kind scare you? Clam weather is always nice. Though a good thunderstorm with rain can be just as enjoyable as king as the winds aren't too strong. As for weather I fear. Strong weather would fit that bill. Large storms, hurricanes, and though likely rare I've heard of these things called water spouts, the sea's version of a tornado. Outlook : 1. Are you optimistic or pessimistic? I try to be optimistic but at times i can't help but be pessimistic. I do have a habit of bringing up the worst that can happen. 2. What are your religious views? Not sure exactly how to respond to that. I believe in the gods. When I was younger I paid them no heed but now I do. Above all I believe in and pay tribute to Laviku, father of all Svefra. 3. Would you be able to kill? If it were to come to that...no I don't think I could bring myself to kill another. All life is precious. 4. What are your views on sex? That is best not spoken off unless with your significant other. 5. What, in your opinion, makes a successful life?
