Appearance Race: Symenestra Gender: Female Age: 22 Years Birthday: 60 Winter 491 Birthplace: Kalinor Appearance: With the traditional ashen skin of the Symenestra, Siciline has ebony black hair and red/gold eyes. She is 5' tall, and 85lbs, with fully grown "claws" and fangs. While her toenails are kept filed down for the most part, she only wears shoes when absolutely required, and wears the least amount of cloth over her form as necessary; much preferring the ability to use her skin to climb. As an acrobat for her people, it is necessary for the most flexibility as well, of course. Character Concept Siciline is very independent and has extreme self confidence, probably boosted by the strong venom running through her system. She eats only once a day to ensure bodily strength as well as that of her venom, and to keep her petite size. She understands the family bonds and ties of the web, and continues to live with her father and two elder brothers, until such time that she may find a male and potential mate to marry and move in with. Siciline is fairly kind towards fellow Symenestra, though she tends to look down on other species, unless they are part of a gleaning and have earned her respect through intelligence. Siciline can be angered fairly easily, and is intelligent and sharp in her retorts, yet remains always with the grace and poise of a deadly predator. When she looks into one's eyes, it is as though she is staring into their very soul, so intent and forward is she. As a friend or potential lover, she is the very best; loyal to a fault, honest for the most part, and trusting. But to get to that point, one must face the harsher hostility she can at times exude, particularly to strangers and especially males. One must also realize the extent of her sarcastic, dark, and often times unnerving sense of humor. Character History Siciline is one of the few born of two Symenestran parents, meaning that her mother is quite deceased. She is of close relations to her father, who harbors no ill will to her for her mother's death, having accepted that it was fully their choice. Her mother died with a smile on her face, and the sight of her beautiful, pale baby in her husband's arms. Siciline was her mother's name, passed to her as an endearment. Siciline was raised in the caverns of Kalinor, and has never left them, not really having reason to. As she grew older under the tutelage of her two elder brothers, she became an expert in weaving and acrobats, becoming a sight to see for any visitors and lovers of art. Flexible and agile as any of her species, with the delicately attractive features of a woman in her prime, the billowing sheets of ruby red silk sharply contrast against her slight form- deadly and gorgeous for all who watch. The home is roughly 20x20 in size, pear shaped, and includes a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and small table. The houses in Kalinor don’t look anything like what you are used to. They aren’t square, they aren’t angular, and they don’t stand on the ground. Instead they are roughly pear shaped or shaped like a drop and hang from the ceiling. They don’t have windows, and the entrance is located at or near the very top of the house. From there a silk rope usually leads down, towards the living quarters. Symenestra homes usually don’t have a lot of rooms, but niches in the walls where the individual members of a Web store their things or sleep behind curtains.
