Arandolya
The only limit is the Stars . . .

As the child cried, for a child she felt truly in these helpless tears, the Endal tried best as he might to comfort her. "Arandolya, I'm sorry for not coming to you sooner... I... I know she would have wanted us to get to know each other, and be a family." Be a family ... How odd that sounded. She shook her head slightly, not in denial, but in shock. Finding a brother - abet a half one - was not something she ever thought would happen to her.

Her mother ... it must've been his father she was talking about. The one A'tier no doubt took after. The blood that ran in his veins ran in Red's though too, what made him so different? Was is simply her mother's contribution? She left though ... she left little Red behind as she fled to the safety of Tamlin's relationship. The Avora breathed in a shuddering breath, letting it out as she dropped her hands to lap. Red was different though. And the blood that ran in his veins, ran in hers too. She glanced up at the Endal, now a hint of curiosity to tinge her teared eyes.

Arandolya reached out and brushed his cheek with her fingers. Ran a hand over his slope of a forehead, through his hair, touched his eyelids. Odd, most likely, to any onlooker, and possible even to Red. Yet, the female tilted her head and breathed out slowly again. "You do carry Iridssa's blood in you," she murmured. She shook her head in astonishment again. "Somehow, even with her gone from your childhood, you still live with it." Arandolya blinked her amber gaze. "Red, son of Iridssa," she tested on her tongue. Mulling it over, Arandolya smiled slightly. "Endal Red Daghul, proud son of Iridssa." The woman nodded slowly.

For a few moments, Arandolya had nothing to say. She thought quietly, staring at the man whom was part of her family. "I hope she knows I do not shame her for her actions," she said quietly, "In all of life's twisting fates, it has made siblings ... as unexpected as they may be." She paused again, brow furrowing slightly. "Yes, let's get something hot to drink."

The redhead suddenly reached for the man. If he would come, Arandolya will wrap him tightly around the neck, burying her face into his shoulder. Family, this is what she needed.

Arandoyla seemed to start to come to terms with the situation as Red was talking, and things seemed to be coming under control. In a way he understood what she was going through, and he was glad that she was willing to let him help her. It had taken him some time to come to terms with missing a life with his mother, but in the end after finding out who she was he knew she loved hi and was proud of the path he chose.

"I'm sure she does, and even though i only knew her for a short time I know that she is happy with the way you chose to live your life" he lifted her to her feet and then said "follow me, it might be safer at my home, A'teir would be a fool to try and look for you there, and we can talk in peace".

Red then started off as a slow pace to let Arandolya catch up, but then again also because as the fight had come to a end the Endal's body started to send signals of pain to his mind and the throbbing started along with the soreness. The walk was not going to be the funnest, but it would pass in a short time.

Soon they came to his door up in the aeries and he pushed it open and gestured for her to enter. The fire in the middle of the room was burning easy sending a nice feeling of warmth through the room "welcome to my home, please maker yourself at home" he said with a smile.

Arandolya
The only limit is the Stars . . .

When Red began to walk away, Arandolya took a breath and followed quietly. Seeing him glance back to ensure she followed brought a small smile to her face as she quickened to come to his side. An older brother . . . all this time? She looked up to where she guessed the sun would be at this hour and smiled silently to herself. This is my piece of hope. It was never far away as long as you kept looking for it.

It didn't take Arandolya long to notice Red struggling to maintain a nonchalant composure, and for a moment Arandolya wondered what was bothering him. It wasn't until she noticed the sequence of grimace and steps forwards did it click, and Arandolya rested a comforting hand on his shoulder. "We should take you to see a healer," she murmured quietly, golden gaze looking concernedly at the Endal. He seemed not to hear though as he finally stopped at a door, and pushed it open to reveal his Aerie inside.

Arandolya stood at the entrance way, uncertain as she hesitated to cross the threshold. An Endal's Aerie . . . she'd never been inside apart from cleaning them during some Bendi assignments. "Welcome to my home, please make yourself at home," Red said with a smile. She could only smile back and cautiously step into the space, closing the door behind her.
"This is lovely," she breathed quietly, looking around herself. Walking over to Red, the woman became less wistful and her eyes hardened with seriousness. "First though, you need to show me what's wrong." Her firm tone left little room for argument, as the petite Avora stood firm, crossing her arms in an attempt to heighten her intimidation - which was null to begin with, really.

The woman was no healer, that much was obvious. The most she did was heal a few birds here and there, and never larger than a crow with a mild cough that just needed the right touch and temperature. Arandolya learned enough from healing birds though to see what was out of her territory and should be sent a real healer that had a higher chance of successfully treating the precious companions of Inartans. Here, she assumed she might be able to do the same, judge if Red would heal alright on his own, or whether she should firmly force the Endal to go to the Healers. Though I suppose talking to his Wind Eagle would be more practical, she thought absently. They were almost always less prideful, and would willingly drag their Endal to the Healers themselves if they were convinced it was serious enough.

In thought of the Wind Eagle though, Arandolya briefly broke her gaze with the man and looked up. "Where is Daghul?"

"First though, you need to show me what's wrong." she insisted which Red assumed meant she had caught on to the fact that his body wasn't a hundred percent, but then again Arandoyla hadn't really made that super clear.

The pain in his body was minimal, but he would most likely go get everything looked at later, though there might be little bit of another motive behind visiting the healers. Looking at his sister he gave her a smile and said "You have a good eye" he offered a small friendly laugh and pulled his jerkin to the side showing his ribs where a few bruises were forming. "I have had worse, and I will have them looked at later to be sure everything is fine".

"Where is Daghul?"

That was a good question though the Endal had a pretty good idea that his friend was out hunting or looking for a meal at least before returning to their home. Then again Daghul had always been a adventurer it was one of the things that he and Red shared in common. Of course, the two shared most things in common, and that mostly came from the fact that they shared so much of their early years together it was natural for the two to be so close.

"If I was to guess, I would say finding some food" which then reminded Red that it must be getting close dinner if he wasn't to off, or at least the Riders gut was explaining to him that he was hungery "I'm going to have some food brought up, would you like some as well?" he hoped the offer would help her feel more welcome. Feeling the need to sit down the Endal took a few more steps into the large circled room towards the fire pit in the middle with the benches that surround it and took a seat. Iosha had explained that she wanted to help make his room more colorful, and he was wondering if he should make it a bit more homey for others instead of so much a camp site.

"You have a good eye," Red said with a tone of amusement, showing the bruises beginning to form over his side. Bending to peer at them she absently listened to the rest as he continued, "I have had worse, and I will have them looked at later to be sure everything is fine." Arandolya shushed him in reply. She studied them for a moment, peering at the tone of the rest of his body. The bruises were darkening though they seemed to be normal - bruises were always a good sign, at the rate they appeared (and his ability to get to his Aerie) broken bones were crossed out. Bruised bones and strained muscles were much more realistic, though she had no idea to tell if they were. A bruised rib would have bothered him immediately after, enough that should have been more obvious. Strained muscles would be present when his muscles fully coolled, and you would have to be pretty numb to your own body not to tell. Blinking at the man, Arandolya guessed if he had either he would figure it out himself soon enough.
"I think they'd heal fine on their own, personally - thugh I don't recommend taking solely my word - though if you want to get a salve to make the bruise disappear more quickly then the healers could also check to make sure you didn't bruise your rib bones themselves," she said, tapping a finger against her chin absently. "I think you would be in much more pain by now though, bruised ribs wise. You might have strained a muscle during the fight, in which you'll feel that one pretty soon," she concluded. Tilting her head at the man, Arandolya smiled. "Unless there is another reason for you to visit the healers, in which go right ahead," she said with a childish giggle. Red didn't respond instead choosing to answer the question she asked previously on Daghul's whereabouts.
"If I was to guess, I would say finding some food, I'm going to have some food brought up, would you like some as well?"

As she followed Red to the benches around the fire, Arandolya settled beside him. "I will have whatever you are having," she said politely, nodding. For a moment she twisted and cocked a sly smile. "Are you looking for one of the doctors to heal somethin' else?" she asked, leaning forwards with an eyebrow waggle.

oocI really apologize about the length of this one, I didn't want to put a lot of fluff in this seeing as that would just make her unfocused and absent-minded.

The Endal was amused by his little sister and how quickly she took on the job of little sister, and of course how quickly she jumped to believe he had other motives for going to see the healers. "Well now, what makes you think I would have any other reason to see the healers" did he have another reason, or at least was there more going on there then just his own feelings.

Moving toward the door the soreness really setting in, but now at least with some rest it was just soreness and less pain, Red pushed it open and caught sight of a Dek moving by and he said "when you can send word down to the kitchen for some food to be sent to Red's... the cook will know what that means" then he came back into the room.

As he watched his sister sitting there and watching him he wondered what her thoughts were about how he treated the Dek. It was no mystery to the other endal that Red was something of a oddity, and not all of them really approved of his ideas, but then again sometimes the way he treats the Dek makes him wonder if he even treats them right. No, they still had to make their living in the Reach and pull their own, and if that meant serving the endal then it was so. Though maybe they didn't deserve to be pushed around like they were.

Looking back to his sister he gave her a look by squinting one eye and looking at her like he was trying to decided if he should say more. Then it hit him she was giving him a chance to be a older brother by asking him about it the least he could do was give her something. "Alright, there is this girl... well, lady Iosha, she is wonderful, and beautiful" he felt a little odd talking about her like this "we aren't a couple or anything, but she is pretty cool and we have hung out a few times" then he remembered "I just took hr hunting, and it was pretty cool".

It as weird he had never really talk to someone else about Iosha, or really anything like this except Daghul and he wasn't human so she was one of the first. Deciding that it was his turn to ask a question he looked at his little sister and said "Is there another boy in your life, other then the one i fought today" he added a little bit of a gentle tone to the last part of his question to show that he felt bad for the whole issue and would support her through the whole ordeal.

Arandolya
The only limit is the Stars . . .

For a moment Red only seemed amused by Arandolya's assertion before playfully responding. "Well now, what makes you think I would have any other reason to see the healers." Before she could speak, he rose to walk to the door, and Arandolya only shook her head.
"The healers are gentle and attractive, who wouldn't want to go see them?" she said with a grin, stretching out briefly as Red opened the door to the Aerie.

Red called to a Dek, and asked him to send word to the cook. Not order him, he asked. Politely. Arandolya couldn't help but seem surprised, her fiery eyebrows rising slightly. When was the last time she'd seen an Endal treat the Dek with any type of respect? She appraised Red with this new revelation, and found the brother there much to her liking. Siblings indeed. Her expression melted into one of mute approval as she too supported the respect that should be owed to the Dek. They may have the grubbiest, grimiest, and disgusting jobs, but they were the oil on the machine of the Inarta, whether it was admitted or not. In Arandolya's eyes they earned the same level of respect given to the Chiet, and saw no reason to deem them slaves. No, she wouldn't go so far as to say there were mistreated within Skyinarta with their work, though Arandolya did try to make their lives a little bit more pleasant. She at least could give them that, reasonably. It would be lying to say it didn't please her to see Red seemingly think the same.

The time that Arandolya took to carefully reconstruct the persona she'd given Red to accommodate his friendliness towards Dek, Red had stared at her oddly as though conflicted with his own self. Arandolya stared back calmly, wondering what was going through his mind. Another chime passed and Red said slowly, "Alright, there is this girl... well, lady Iosha, she is wonderful, and beautiful." Arandolya smiled wryly, her eyes glinting with a childish mischief.
"Lady Iosha? Isn't she the lucky one," she interrupted with a silly wink.
"We aren't a couple or anything, but she is pretty cool and we have hung out a few times - I just took her hunting, and it was pretty cool," Red finished.
"Wow, she sounds ... cool," Arandolya teased and nodded her head. Turning serious she added, "I hope to meet her one day, if you have taken an interest."

"Is there another boy in your life, other then the one I fought today?" Red asked, his tone filled with sympathy and the type of remorse that everyone but the offender always felt. Arandolya blinked her sharp golden gaze and rested her back against the bench, shaking her head.
"There are no boys in my life," she said clearly with a sharp bob of her head. "And, if I have my way, I won't need to marry for a while more." With her Mother gone, and her father wanting less and less to do with her, evading the societal norms of marriage became increasingly easy. Eventually people stopped asking, and parents stopped offering young men, and Arandolya slipped under the radar where she wished to stay - that is until A'tier came along and proclaimed her single status to the whole mountain. "I don't need to marry, not to someone like him," she muttered.

Crossing her arms, Arandolya appeared as the perfect victim of young woman angst, brow furrowing as she stared at her knees determinedly. Though the hunter was happy to live alone, and not have to care for children or sustaining a growing family, Arandolya felt like she was missing some portion of living without it. Was it perhaps just how she was raised? The maternal instincts of a future mother? What-ever it was left Arandolya feel like an unwanted Dek indeed, as she'd vowed to keep her purity until she met someone.

Many Inarta were much more free than she was, and often weren't virgins at the tender ages of teen-hood. Though she did share the easy acceptance of the human body, Arandolya resolutely turned away man after man for simple one-night pleasures. She tried to find someone who would fit her open attitude and carefree mind, and then be able to give herself. When had her view changed since that conversation with her mother? When did she suddenly give herself the right to turn away the offer of an Endal? Arandolya didn't know how to answer the questions, yet she knew naivety of her age probably lent to the opinion given in those younger years. Perhaps she just was a silly Avora playing with a bow after all?

Red had to say he was glad to hear that she wasn't falling for his brothers complete lack of respect towards women, but she almost seemed to think that that kind of thinking match all the suitors around. Then again she was a pretty girl, and young so she would have plenty of time to choose a nice man. Besides Red was the last person to say that she needed to get married, he hadn't really made any head way in that area. Not really anyways.

It was very clear though that this young woman had a lot more she wanted to do before she settled down, and the Endal had a strange feeling even after she did settling down might not be the best word used there. From Red's eyes he could see her being a very adventurous lady.

The food that the Endal had called for was brought into the room by two Dek who seemed to relax when they saw the endal they were serving was Red rather then another one of the riders. The plates they brought were simple meal of venison and some sort of green vegie that Red didn't care for, but would eat just to fill himself up. As the two plates were set down on a table next to one of the benches Red stood up and moved closer to the table and gestured for Arandolya to move closer as well.

"So we need to teach you to use a sword, have you ever held one before?" he gave her a playful wink which was a bit odd for him, but he was feeling very relaxed with her maybe because she was his sister, but he did't know.

Arandolya's absent thoughts were broken with the appearance of the Dek, that quietly came in to place the food down then disappeared once more. She muttered a thanks as one passed, and ignored the startled look before the man bowed jerkily and hurried after his companions. Blinking a passive golden gaze, the woman reached for one of the plates and picked up one of the vegetables, peering at it. Tentatively taking a bite, Arandolya decided she quite liked it, and had the other happily.

"So we need to teach you to use a sword, have you ever held one before?" came Red's inquiry, with a humored wink. Arandolya stuck her tongue out with a snort, and shook her head.
"I think once when I was apprenticed, but my master focused more on my accuracy with the bow than handling a sword," she admitted with a small shrug. Though she was quite apt with a bow, enough to catch the attention of an Avora hunter since her mother already had an apprentice, Arandolya struggled to advance past what she seemed to naturally do. To get her to the competence she had now was not an easy road, and Arandolya spent a lot of her youth simply learning how to shoot consciously and with precision rather than the spread her experience with other weapons. "You seem quite good at it, Red, where did you learn from?" she asked politely, turning to look at the man.

It still startled her to think of his as a brother, and her mind denied its truth. How could something so significant just pop out of the air, and into her life? Arandolya looked at Red silently for a moment, finding it hard to wrap around the concept. She knew she would confront her father about it, ask him if she knew of the child she should have known since birth. Why would they keep a secret like that hidden? Arandolya blinked and looked away to her food, waiting patiently for Red's answer. Red, her brother . . . . she had trouble thinking that, trying to make herself look past the view of Endals to this soft man who claimed their joint parentage. Brother. Arandolya's brow wrinkled in thought. Brother . . .
