![]() ![]() Name: Nath Race: Ethaefal (Leth) Sex: Male Age: newly fallen Date of birth: Fall 5, 513 AV Place of birth: Thunder Bay (place of falling back to Mizahar) Physical Appearance In his Ethaefal form, Nath takes on a surreal beauty, tall, stately, graceful, and with an air of self-possession and calm. His skin is pale and with a pearly luminescence. Two small horns protrude from behind his temples and their hue varies with the seasons, from deep green in Summer to a golden buttercup yellow in Fall, darkening to ebony in the deep of Winter and thence leaching to opalescent white in Spring. His hair, which is worn at a medium length, also shifts with the seasons - a dark, eggplant black in Summer which fades to the lightest ruddy cinnamon in Fall, and thence to an almost colorless platinum white with the frosts of Winter, and blooming with a silvery blue in Spring. His eyes, however, remain a bright cobalt blue throughout the changing seasons. In his mortal-seeming form, Nath reverts to the body and appearance of his last male manifestation in the cycle of life and death before Leth plucked him up to the vaults of the sky. His height lessens, but not by more than two inches or so, and his body's musculature fills out a bit more, but again, not over much. Nath takes on the form of a young adult Svefra male, of about an age of 19 or 20, with dirty blond/light brown hair that falls in messy curls and waves to his shoulders. His bright blue eye color remains, though it is less intense than when he is his night time form. His skin darkens with the tan one would expect of an individual who spends most of their time on the sea, exposed to sun and wind. In both forms, Nath has a series of swirling tattoos down the left side of his body, beginning right under his ear and continuing down to below his hip. They are reminiscent of the bubbles and streaks of light that one might see dancing on the surface of the waves of the Suvan. These patterns also trace down his left shoulder and bicep, encircling his elbow and stopping about halfway down his forearm. ![]() Character Concept Nath is an Ethaefal, favored of Leth. His fall to earth will leave him no less devoted to his god, but exceedingly bereft at having been stolen away from Leth's presence and grace. As a newly fallen soul, Nath will struggle with both readjusting to the demands and shortcomings of his earthly existence, and with his sadness over his loss. When Syna rules the heavens, Nath's physical seeming will revert to his last male earthly form, that of a young man of the Svefra race. His mental and emotional states too will shift, though not dramatically, at first. In Svefra form, Nath is likely to be just a bit more "earthy" and a bit less quiet and thoughtful than in his nightly form. Over time, it remains to be seen how much of the Svefra can be brought out in him, or how much he chooses to change himself, in order to adjust, or not, to this unasked for new, and apparently permanent, state of being. Character History Nath's history is largely hidden, even to himself, upon first falling from the sky. Over time, bits and pieces of his past will be discovered, by him, during RP. ![]() “Alterity is a philosophical term meaning "otherness", strictly being in the sense of the other of two (Latin alter). In the phenomenological tradition, it is usually understood as the entity in contrast to which an identity is constructed, and it implies the ability to distinguish between self and not-self, and consequently to assume the existence of an alternative viewpoint.” Wikipedia Thread List ”There is no dark side of the moon really.
