Mortuus Appearance Race: Human, Benshira Gender: Female Age: 24 Birthday: 45, Summer, 489 Birthplace: Yahebah Appearance: Mortuus is a tall and lean woman, standing at about 6,0 and weighing about 130 lbs. Her skin is tan, her dark brown hair is often kept in a long ponytail and her eyes are an icy blue color. She is somewhat attractive, possessing a certain exotic look that the Benshirans are known for outside of the desert. Character Concept Mortuus was trained to be a killer from a very young age by her slaver master, who would often have her fight and kill other young slaves for food. Mortuus is not her true name but one that her master beat into her, and it is still the one she uses now that she is free. Freedom is a strange concept to the former slave as most of her life was spent in servitude to the whims of another, however she is trying to learn how to live her own life. As a killer she most often employed as an Assassin or Bounty Hunter. Character History Mortuus' younger years are a mystery to her, she remembers slight glimpses of Yahebeh and her parents but very little else. She barely recalls her full real name let alone the names of her parents. As far as she knows they died in the same slaver ambush that resulted in her twenty year long servitude to Boris Lassiter. Boris had a habit of weeding out the weak amoung the ranks of captured slaves and would often have them fight each other for food. Mortuus killed many of her fellow slave children in her formative years, prompting Boris to claim the valuable child as his own. It started off small, first he just had the girl steal for him, something her nimble fingers proved adept at. Next he had her learn the art of sword play, beating and whipping her if she messed up during training. After that it wasn't much of a stretch to make her kill for him, a task which she excelled at. For seven years this was Mortuus' life, taking the lives of others at the behest of her master. For seven years she learned the trick of the assassin's trade, how to track her prey and where to kill them. Always she returned to her master, as the very idea of freedom was foreign to her at that point. She was content, she had a porpose, as a sword that killed. All that changed the day her master was killed in a disagreement with a rival slaver. She managed to escape the chaos of the confrontation but found herself confused as to what to do next. Eventually she found her way to civilization, the great port city of Zeltiva and it is here that she intends to make some form of living and learn what it means to live her own life.
