36 Spring, 513 AV He stood at the doorstep of the great hall, paper in hand issuing his orders for the job. Chase couldn't help but whimper slightly at what might happen should the package he was delivering become stolen or lost. It would be his hide they would take, the Monks and their order were very strict and Chase knew this. Clearing his throat Chase approached the door and gave a loud knock at it. Surely there was someone here to meet him. As he waited, Chase looked over the note in his hand once more. It was an order of delivery. One parcel of monk robes were to be delivered to the Southern Quarter, and given to the monks at the Bountiful Wheat Headquarters for their newest recruits. Chase sighed at the task. It wasn't hard, no, but the fact still lingered that should he fail and not bring the package to the Southern Quarter they might brand him a thief. He had already narrowly escaped that judgment a few days back, and didn't want to have it happen again. Chase milled over his thoughts as he waited, making sure to keep the paper in hand and to seem presentable as possible... what with his dirty shirt and pants it was a hard sell. |
