Appearance Svefra have a tendency to shares many physical traits and the Waveriders are no exception. There sun kissed has darkened to a bronze colour that graces her body all year round. Both men and women have long hair trailing past their shoulders. Due to their lifestyle of living on the fruits of the ocean they all well fed and their bodies are lean and muscular. Thanks to Lauviku one can see the many shades of the sea in their eyes. Leanna, an adult of 20 year fits this picture perfectly. Her tall lean frame is often covered ostentatiously in many layers of clothing in the winter, and a singlet at most in the summer all of a rage of colours. She is always armed however with a cutlass that sits on her left hip ready to be drawn and wielded in her right hand. There is one other item she wears daily, string of glass beads her father acquired for her from Wind Reach. These beads are often found in her hair which colour similar to the honey made by bees. Her face is angler and well-proportioned and features eyes that are a vivid storm blue and brow crinkled with laughter lines as she is always quick to laugh. One her Left arm is a tattoo of a Sei Whale, the mirror image of Leanna Taven shusu. Leanna believes herself to be quite beautiful thinking highly of her full luscious lip and the smile these form when she is happy and truthfully she is but only skin deep. Her personality leaves a lot to be desired is considered to be spoilt. However Leanna has always pull her weight and stands alongside her brothers and sisters ready to defend the Pod. |
Personality Leanna began to learn at a young age from both her mother and father and has become passionate about the pursuit of new knowledge. While she does enjoy the odd book she learn best with hand on practice. Which is reflected in her skill with a cutlass and her grasp of pod politics. She is wise for her age and is often looked up to by the younger members. Whilst Leanna is honest with her beliefs, if you wish her advice you must actively seek it as rarely parts with her opinions in any other circumstances. Because Leanna is thoughtful, responsible and organised she prefer the company of those older then her. Thus She is social isolated a character flaw she never tried to change. Perhaps this is because she does not understand that this make her appear haughty and arrogant in the eyes of the younger members of the pod. Leanna respect all of the gods due to her uprising she is a devote worshiper of Laviku. Like Most children born into the Pod she bears his first of his mark. It sits on the inside of left wrist but does occasionally move. As a child of Laviku Leanna would go to almost any lengths to please him, including taking a life. |
History The Waveriders Pod is led by Lia Anna their matriarch and her partner Klip. When Kilp fell deeply in love with Anna he joined the Waveriders in order to be with her. It was a while before Anna noticed him as to set a good example Anna slept with many men in order to add fresh blood to the pod, it is uncertain who the father of her first born was but after the birth Anna became attached to Klip the marks of Cheva appear of both their hearts. Over the years 492AV-498 Lauviku blessed them many time as Anna gave birth to 5 healthy children 3 boys and 2 girls. Their first born joined them in 492AV, a beautiful baby girl who was named Leanna for her mother was soon followed into the world by her brother who was named Klipin for his father were followed by the blessing of twins boys who were name Dugan and dune. After much pray Anna was given one more child a girl whom she names Pearl. In the Year 512 Anna children ages range for 20 to 14 there are several Ships in the Waveriders Pod Filled with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Together these masses of people live full lives. As first born to the Lia Leanna has had expectations place upon her since her birth. She was expect to show wisdom beyond her years, a challenge that she met on a daily basis. In order to spend more time with her mother Leanna ended up spent most of her time with the elders of the pod, gain much insight and wisdom for them. When not by her mother side Leanna gladly partook of her father’s company. Whilst her intelligence was nurtured by her mother it was her father who taught her to fight for what she believed in. Under his guidance Leanna became a skilled fighter whether or not she had a weapon in her hand. Thus she gained the skills and confidence to assert herself. As a race blood relations do no matter much to the Svefra as they are tied together by the will of Lauviku creating a massive family, they sharing the responsibility of teaching the next generation as well as caring for the past. Thus Leanna learnt many other lessons from her aunts and uncles such as, fishing, sailing, and shipwright duties both of her parents influence Leanna deeply. They moulded her into an impartial observer to day to day life in the Pod and thus she has gain some view and idea not often seen amongst the Svefra. While friends come and go the Pod remains. The blessing of Lauviku let the Svefra live a life of abundance and thus the have mountains of spare time in which to spend on hobbies and adventures. Unfortunately some of the hobbies practice was infighting and bulling. Thus in her Teenage years Leanna became a mediator in the disputes of the younger generation and often defended she sisters, brothers and cousin from bullies. Whilst this made her very popular with the youngsters in the Pod, those of her of age came to see her as aloof and prideful. Leanna only true friend is her Tavan Shusu one of the pod of Sei whales that the ships of the Waveriders are escorted by. At their largest the measure 20 meter make them large the small Casinor favoured by the Svefra. Known for their speed they are often used as mounts in area where it is dangerous to take a ship. Preferring to stay near the surface and living up to 65 this animal are true kindred of the Waveriders. Life was good and despite her isolation Leanna was happy but it was not to last. In 498AV her father became very ill and because he was a prideful man he refused to go ashore and seek out a healer. As his sickness progress Leanna became more withdrawn from the community. Eventually Klip let go of his pride but the was nothing the average Doctor could do for him so the Podthey head north to the Capital Syliras hope for the best. On their way though they crossed parths with the dreaded Barten, a non-Svefan pirate. The religious teachings of Laviku state that the existence of such a man is blasphemy and must be stamped out. The plight of one of their own forgotten the Waveriders alter course to intercept the enemy. The fight was fierce and claimed the lives of many elder members of the pod including both Leanna’s parents and brothers. The loss of so many she was close to left Leanna cold and angry despite the fact that her Sister remained. Their number had fallen to 7 Svefra She was now the second eldest in the Pod, but as she and has no real connection with the remnants of her family no one supported her claim to the title of Lia. In fact most wish her gone. However news of a plan assault on Barten crew has stalled and granted Leanna more time. The Pod now head to the Capital of Syliras to meet with the rest of the fleet. It is in the massive mixture of races that the new Lia plans to ling Leanna leaving her to sink or swim. |
