Appearance

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Birthday: 17th, Summer, 487 AV
Birthplace: Sunberth

Appearance:

Having a suntinted skintone underneath his many tattoos, Takeda is a fairly unorthodox sight for that alone, at least in Sunberth. Adding to his misfit statute are his decorative and intricate tattoos swirling all over his torso, neck, arms and even face. Most people in Sunberth are used to tattoos and the like, but even them turns heads when Takeda strolls by.

His relatively long raven black and silky-smooth hair hangs loosely behind his neck and over his shoulderblades, if it weren't for aforementioned tattoos, his face and hair might be considered feminine, but he erases all doubt with his stern face and ink-cover. He's fairly tall and well built, not quite buff or extremely atlethic, but still well built. Muscles are covered with skin or occasionally a thin piece of flabby fat.

He also sports, indifferently, quite a few former-gashes turned scars. These are the marks of the night he came to see and understand what happened to his sister. After losing himself in a blind fury, he's now obligated to wear his scars, functioning both as a shame and as a reminded that no matter how angry, you are never invincible.

He usually wears low class light clothing that gives him freedom of movement and doesn't encumber him too much. His clothes vary in colors, texture and pattern. All in all there is hardly anything noteworthy about the way he dresses.

Character Concept & History

Character Concept and History:

Takeda can’t really say he had it all before he lost it all, because he never had much to begin with. But what he did have, he cherished. Such as his family, of course there were times where they had disputes or silly arguments, but there was always the knowledge and realization that he would be nothing without them. They were the bastion of hope in his otherwise grim world, having been born and raised in Sunberth, he had known peace only too far and too few in between.

While his parents usually kept themselves outside of harm’s way and didn’t get involved in gang affiliated issues, keeping themselves as neutral as possible, they weren’t free of problems regardless. Since they didn’t have the backing of a gang, they were targeted often by those who had little to no morals or a code they abided by. So they had to fend for themselves, fortunately for him and his family, they weren’t the push-over type and quickly became known as a family that believed dearly in paying back their debts, in full and with interest.

The combination of his mother’s wit, charisma and expertise in Hypnotism, with his father’s profound past of being a battle hardened Spiritist and roamer...Proved to be very effective in this so-called lawless town. By having such circumstances and parents, Takeda became the one embodiment of them both. Quick wit, charisma, physical strength and mental fortitude were only a few things imparted upon him by his parents. Their arcane knowledge, Hypnotism and Spiritism, were ingrained in him as well. Not
to mention he had been effectively trained in the combat arts of using the Wakizashi, a weapon that is quite unorthodox but deadly in skilful hands.

His very being was voided on the night he arrived home after having been drinking his body weight in one of the town’s taverns, only to witness the aftermath of a warzone in his home. He had felt something was off for the last week or so, but every time he asked about it to his parents, they quickly dismissed it as a paranoid gut feeling that might be the result of drinking too much. Regardless of their little side-tracking teasing and general light-heartedness, he could somehow sense something weird. Maybe it was the little tremble in his father’s voice or the split second look in his mother’s eyes.

Up ‘till this very day he hates himself for having dismissed them as figments of his imagination, although he realizes it could very have been his mother performing her magic upon him to negate his intuition. Such excuses are all too weak when facing your parents’ death. Blame, regret, questions and vengeance consume him entirely ever since. The moment he was close enough to spot the broken door splintered and hanging off its hinges, he rushed towards his home. Hoping with all his might that his family would be safe, that they’d be hugging his sister and comforting her...That they’d be breathing.

Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw once inside the house, first he had to endure the traumatizing shock of seeing his mother laying lifelessly in a pool of her own blood, with one hand pinned to the wall by a steel crossbow bolt, she hung off the wall in a ragdoll like manner, her body and clothes drenched in the semi-dried blood that must have gushed out of the gaping wound on her slitted throat.

Takeda’s hand raised and stretched outwards, silent and frozen in place, he stood there as if literally petrified, his eyes wide and his mouth open while streams of salty tears were gliding down his face. His lips worded ‘Mother’ before he nearly toppled backwards and instinctively moved his hands to grab the doorway, holding himself upright to the best as his abilities as he felt his knees buckle underneath him.

After what seemed like an eternity, he was able to turn his face away from his mother’s body, his eyes franticly scanning the hallway and other rooms for sign of life. Now his voice had returned, first weakly he muttered ‘Father, father’ ... Until he started to shout with obvious sadness and fear in his voice ‘Father! FATHER?!’

He couldn’t find him nor his sister anywhere, all types of worst case scenarios ran through his head as he searched like a madman through the destroyed house. He ran up the stairs with 3 steps at a time, ramming the door open with his shoulder, he stumbled in his sister’s room. There, all hope was lost.

His father was lying face first on the ground, his weapons laying far behind him on the opposite side of the room, right next to a large bloodsmear crossing the wooden boards. It was obvious he had dragged his broken, dying body over the ground after he had been defeated. This time, there was no silence, no petrification, only pure hatred and rage for whoever was responsible for this. He screamed out until
his lungs were devoid of air, his pupils dilated and his teeth snarling bare...Searching for someone or something to let out all his pent up rage on, he quickly ran towards the two weapons and took hold of them before leaping off the stairs and running into the dark streets covered by the night.

‘ASRA!’

‘ ASRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ‘

He screamed out as he ran into the night and into any street or alley that he felt was the right direction to go towards, his two Wakizashi’s handles gripped tight into his fists until his knuckles saw white, blinded by rage he saw two people walking up to him and without truthfully realizing what he was doing, he slaughtered them before they even knew what was going on. He continued to slash and stab them until they were mutilated beyond recognition, drenched in other people’s blood he continued his tirade.

Until the moment came that he ran into a group of criminals stronger than him, they showed him no mercy whatsoever and slashed his chest repeatedly. Granted, they were too busy securing their own safety from this mad man in order to be merciful. For some reason they didn’t finish Takeda off though, he woke up half-dead and dazed amidst a group of lifeless bodies. All of them cleanly killed, not one excessive wound could be found on them, every single body had one single fatal wound and that was all.

It was like this, how he lost it all, how he started anew.

A new life; Centered around his sister’s retrieval, around his lifelong vendetta with whoever was responsible ... And around questions unanswered.
