When one wishes to unwind and relax but still be social, they may often find themselves at the Storyteller's Circle, also known as the amphitheater of The Spires. This location is located on the Petal of Fabled Crescendo.
Wandering in through one of the four worn paths, one finds themselves in an enclosed space surrounded by thick vegetation. There are seven rows of seats on one side and nearly eleven on the other. The seating creates half a circle, looking more like two moons facing each other than anything else. Younger children may climb one of the three trees providing shade that rest on the seats as their parents sit on the plush row below.
In the middle of the amphitheater is the actual Storyteller's Circle. Perfectly round and covered in neatly groomed grass, the circle is aptly named. In the middle of there is a raised platform where performers can stand, sit, or use as a prop. The overall space is large enough to comfortably accommodate an estimated twenty performers at one time. The seating can hold up to one hundred-fifty Jamoura.
The Storyteller's Circle hosts regular performances every tenth day, leaving only nine per season. Three of these are dedicated to Caihya, although the story ranges each time. At least once will it depict how the Jamoura were graced and enlightened by their goddess. The other two times generally touch on the subject of nature and the cycle of life. The other six times are actual individuals from the city who have been approved to be the main act for the night.
Occasionally, there are singers. More often than not, however, the other six times are small groups of actors/actresses who wish to relieve the city of stress through humor, teach a lesson through drama, or share their point of view on a topic. To be able to perform at the Storyteller's Circle, it is necessary to speak with the coordinating individual who sets the seasonal schedule. To view a show at the Storyteller's Circle does not cost anything.
