Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

The Gargoyle, The Unbroken, and The Moron (Ximal, Titus)

Postby Sha'kar on March 20th, 2013, 10:13 pm

Day 28th of Spring, 513 AV

Sha sat in his usual meditative stance outside of Nyka. Mask hiding his face, cloak covering his form, his weight on his heels as he balanced on his toes in a crouch. His favorite blade, the upper right, being used to balance him in the statue-like position.

It was clear for the most part, maybe a few scattered clouds but that was it. His mind wandered lazy like the clouds, his thoughts a mixed haze of different concepts and ideas. Eyes looking out with a far off stare, and his face blank and emotionless beneath the mask.

He was thinking abut several things when the thought of his recent fight came to mind. That giant, he hadn't gotten his name, in fact they hadn't said a single word during that fight other than the faint whisper of the mans flux incantation. Who had he been, why was he in the warfields on that rainy uneventful day?

An odd meeting (Ximal, Titus)

Postby Titus on March 20th, 2013, 10:26 pm

Titus walked along the outside of the city. He was bored and his injurys had healed. His chest was covered in his studded armor, and resting on his shoulders was his lance. He was looking for something to do, something interesting. Maybe something he could learn from. He looked up into the sky, it was clear and bright. He closed his eyes taking in the light before refocusing on his path. Infront of him was so statue-like person, he stopped staring at the person. "Four arms eh" he said to himself spinning the lance. He cracked his neck thinking that this may be an interesting foe. He spun the lance on his shoulders before he flipped it off of his shoulders, and into his right hand. He placed it on the ground and started to streach his body out. His eyes stayed on the person infront of him.

The Gargoyle, The Unbroken, and The Moron (Ximal, Titus)

Postby Ximal on March 20th, 2013, 10:35 pm

Xi took a deep breath and hefted the log onto his shoulders. The bandages had come off a few days earlier. He was testing himself to make up for the few days where his middle had been less than it's best. The huge log sat on his shoulders. Xi took a moment to balance the log across his shoulders before taking a step forwards shifting the position of the loga little as he walked trying to improve his balance, his gauntlets on his hands and his special arms in the pockets either side of him. He wanted to made sure those were close at all times. Xi clenched his fists tightly around the log feeling the pressure on his spinal column and on his legs. Taking a deep breath Xi started to walk around the wall of nyka, slowly at first nd then pickling up pace as time went by shifting the log all the while. Then he spotted two people. Two people he'd beaten. Good thing his hood was up As Xi closed the distance he made sure the sun was behind him as he walked to help use the shadow to mask his face and make him look more imposing than he was. Upping the intimidating aura he was starting to grow. Xi closed the distance towards the two other men the log on his shoulders still. Xi took a slow breath as he closed the distance. What exactly would happen with both previously defeated foes there?

Arrogant was this fool who so casually displayed himself. Sha stood up as the other man approached paying him no mind until he recognized the mans garb. The hood, the stature, the man had beaten Sha once and now he was here again. He looked at him a moment before turning back to the other man. "Arrogant," Sha said in a raspy muffled voice from beneath the mask.

He removed the cloak and let it fall to the ground as he tapped his sword on the ground. His other blades were visible now, but he wouldn't use them. He didn't plan on fighting the man, just making it known that he didn't like his arrogance.

The mask stayed on his face, covering his features from the new man as he turned his gaze on the passing giant. "Hello," he called in the same muffled rasp, his blue eyes staring at the imposing figure. Intimidating as he was he didn't think the man would strike out of the blue.

Titus ignored what the man said. He looked up and saw a man standing on the wall. "Bloody giant" he mumbled, he reached down and grabbed his lance. He picked it up and turned away from both of them. He walked abit farther from them. He turned and sat on the ground, he rolled his shoulders and closed his eyes. Slowly drifting into his own mind. His lance layed across his lap and he breathed deeply, just relaxing. He didnt care that the other two were there, he was going to do what he wanted. Which, for now, was training. He reopened his eyes and laided his lance on the ground next to him. He started doing sit-ups, his eyes glancing up towards the man on the wall.

XI glanced at the other two the huge log still across his shoulders. Though the man he'd beaten prior said hello to him the one he'd beaten before him just stropped off like a child having a tantrum. Xi sighed, his voice low and slow as usual. "Hello to you as well. I apologize for the event's in the warfields but i had to stop you before you did some permanent damage to yourself." Xi shifted the log on his shoulders before turning his head to look at the stroppy child. Pressuring himself through his own bland training methods which would yield little to no results. Physical labour did Xi's training for him. Heavier and heavier items for longer and longer intervals. still Xi just took a deep breath and glanced at the man before him. four swords and appaqrently what ever had severed was healed.

"Foolish," Sha said as he pointed to himself. He felt as ignorant as the other arrogant one near by clearly was. He removed the mask, revealing his tattoos and face to the other man. There was no need for secrecy here, these people could hold their own, they were fit to view him, but maybe that would change if the pouting one acted.

He remembered how his voice sounded now, it had been awhile since he had freely spoken. The rasp of vocal cords damaged in his youth. That horrible night that it had happened, and how it had sent him down this road. This giant was a friendly yet foreboding figure. "Name," Sha said, aiming the question at both of the men as he made a quizzical face.

Titus ignored them as he finished his sit ups. He kicked up his lance and grabbed it with both hands. He turned and looked at the giants, wondering if he would awnser the others question. He took the lance in one hand letting its tip drop to the ground. The other one had removed his mask and the giant, just stood there. He shook his head and rubbed his shoulders. "Titus" he finally said, and lifted his lance back up. He looked down it, slowly walking and taking short swings and thrust with it. He wanted to fight, but wasnt interested in this multi-armed person. He was only interested in the giant. He pulled the lance back and thrusted it forward, it slid forward just a bit extending his reach. His hand gripped the very last part of the handle, his mouth turned up abit at one of the corners, smirking.

the four armed man shifted his mask to let himself speak easier , though his common was a little stunted or was it hos throat? After all Xi'd known someone like that back in the spires and now his mind thought back to how his friend there was doing ? Xi though then focused upon the man before him as he asked his name. Xi sighed lightly but before he could respond the child had interrupted and pointed his lance at the pair of them. As he pulled it back Xi rocked the log on his back shifting it and tilting his body to use the thick dense wood of the log to block the tip of the lance and then rip it from titus' hands. "Lesson three: Never point your weapon at anyone other than an enemy." Xi's gaze shifted and now a pair of drilling intimidating eye's were boring into titus. Xi then spoke to sha. "I'm sorry my friend. If you wish to learn my name you have to beat me first. It's a challenge I've been handing out to those who think their selves strong. Like our friend over here." Xi kept his eyes locked on titus boring the deep black blue orbs into him and peeling at his very soul.

A challenge was it, a challenge that seemed impossible. This man before him had already beaten him once with what appeared to be minimal effort. Odds, they never did seem all that much in his favor, but maybe that would change. Sha put the blade he has been holding back into its scabbard.

"Why," Sha said as he turned his attention back Ximal. "Necessary," he added to it before seeing the lance being pulled from the mans hand. That log could be a weapon if the man needed one, and his blade could probably be taken in the same fashion. He looked at the men, expecting a fight any moment. He looked up, and began to whistle a light raspy tune.
