Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

"Saids the Eypharian crowding around a nude bath-goer" Ana shot at him as he finished speaking, now slowly getting comfortable with the change in his rather odd attitude. There was that snarky Eypharian personality that Ana understood the race to have (thanks to Nasrin) and the superiourity they felt over others. His words did sting, as she wasn't a very pretty sight in the first place, and at times few Nykans had mistooken her for a man on appearences alone earlier into the season. Something that Ana was over-joyed to know, but at the same time dismayed at their lack of observation. It was a pity, really, ah- wait, so did that mean the Eypharian was looking for masculine company? Hah! That was another logical reason!

Holding the towel to herself tighter, Ana waded around him, encircling him like a wild cat to its prey. Scrutinizing his every detail in appearence, the gold glinted skin, underneath was a exhuberant tanness that Ana could only hope to have being put under the sun. Compared to him, she was deathly pale. His eyes were a rather nice blue color as well, they complimented the bath house water very well, and then the white hair- what was he, trying to play Symenstra? Then of course there was the four arms... She scoffed outwardly as she would come to stand in front of him, both hands now holding the top of her towel up. Holding it in such a way that she could pull both ends of the towel away from the body (she refrained from doing so, though.)

"So tell me, why are you bothering me? SPEAK." Ana commanded him, narrowing her eyes and taking a step forwards- just out of his four armed reach.

Then a rather devious look crossed her as she languished within her thoughts and hastily presumed conclusions, smiling almost knowingly as she would pull the towel ends away teasingly "or maybe the big bad Eypharian is letting his pride get to him that he wants to petch a human boy," she promptly rewrapped the towel. There had not been a single glimpse of her body underneath to be seen, she had done it in such a way, turned her body as she did so and then hiding herself again. Ana actually wasn't a boy, though she would try to play it off that perhaps she was just overly feminine for a boy, as some people had called her. All she wanted to see was his reaction, and nothing more besides that. Come on, surely he won't stand for that...

He was prooving to be an amusing irritant.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Sha'kar on March 24th, 2013, 4:40 am

Sha stood and looked at her as she scanned him and spoke. Ignoring the order to speak. Then the words came, like the fine blade of a dagger they bit deep. His eyes growing wide as he took a step forward and raised his upper right arm high, his mouth open in a silent shout till his morals stopped him. His hand lowering and his appearance becoming calmer.

He felt no remorse for his words, for the ones dealt out after were just as sharp. He looked at the girl with a calm stare. "Are you that naive, it was clearly because of the fact that you looked like a man yourself that I wished not to try," a smile curving at either cheek. "I would say that I am sorry for my words but that has been forgotten," he said again his hand rubbing his throat as the pain within subsided.

He hadn't wished to anger the woman originally, but now he had to guard himself. His pride wounded and his view shifted, leaving him guarded towards her. She actually didn't appear to be that bad looking, but words could change an image forever. If the situation was salvaged then an ally or friend may be earned as he had thought the whole time. Although if it fell apart even more he could only hope she didn't know anyone deadly or able to gain the ability to kill him.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Vladimir Balsam on March 24th, 2013, 4:54 am

Vladimir sighed. Going to the bathhouse would probably be a good idea. He hadn't been to one in a couple of days, and usually he keeps up with his self grooming and what not. Vladimir got his soap and put it into his bag and started the walk to the bathhouse. Upon entering he paid the fee and then went inside. Vladimir changed out of his clothes and wrapped a towel around his body. As he was walking out to where they bathed, where the pools and showers were, he heard a commotion going on in one of the pools. He could hear a woman getting mad, and a man trying to get her to forgive him. This could be an interesting conversation to listen in on and maybe I could meet two new people. Vladimir didn't like getting too close to people, but he did want to have a couple of people that he could call friends, well maybe friends, maybe not quite friends. Who knew, he thought to himself as he walked up to the pool where they were. He took off the towel and slowly let himself into the water. He slowly walked over to the other side of the pool. Putting enough distance between them not to look suspicious but so that he could still hear what was going on. He was going to introduce himself, but he didn't want to interrupt their argument. Not yet anyways. Vladimir just lowered himself into the water so only his head was above it and he listened and watched as to what was going to happen next.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Ana watched how he lifted up an arm and fully expected him to slap her in the face, or break her nose with a single punch. He did not. Instead he lowered the arm- and if Ana were to go so far as to think he had gotten angry. She had touched base on a nerve, maybe a bit too sensitive to his liking? Or perhaps she had just taken a step too far. If she had wounded his pride- she would be quite happy in knowing that later, but for now she had little understanding of the matter to begin with and left it as that. Had she cowered under his snappish reaction to her words? No, she was being far too brazen, and she was extremely irritated by that point by his presence that she would be joyful over being smacked about- whatever it took to make him go away. Yet, there he still was... That petching Eypharian.

The thief let one of her hands go to hold her cheek, thinking as he would speak and quite ignoring his face. She stepped backwards and let her body sink into the water so that her chin just rested above its surface, had she looked hurt? No, not really, the less appealing to people- the better, it made her less noticiable. Waving her hand about as if to brush his words away, she shook her head and chuckled "oh good, I was beginning to worry that perhaps you were trying to get it on with humans because you were a filthy outcast with no other option left, still, you've never answered my questions, and you still are not now and it is infuriating me. Does it have something to do with your voice? It sounds horrendous... Oh, let me guess, because you didn't sound pretty enough, all the Eypharian women didn't want you."

For once she showed a little empathy towards the Eypharian, it had taken her up till now to notice the scritch scratch ringing, and then the way how the Eypharian held his throat in front of her. Though there may have been a shred of pity for him, it was quickly snuffed out by the aggravation she was feeling, he could have said something earlier and then all this wouldn't have been happening. He wouldn't have to stand around like a fool trying to get her attention- that made her snap at him again "you're standing there looking like a fool, and you won't give me a reason why you're bothering me- so if you have no business with me I kindly suggest you go away before I mark your head." Mark? Hah, one could have mistakened that as a death threat- but to Ana... She merely meant in terms of larceny.

Though no one would ever know that unless she told them specifically.

VladdyDon't be too much of a wallflower dear, go right on ahead and don't mind my nastyness towards Sha. ;) Though Vlad might get caught in the crossfire between the two..

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Sha'kar on March 25th, 2013, 9:27 pm

Why am I still here, why am I taking this. His mind frantic for a moment until he heard what she said next. Remembrance should a be sin for what he remembered shook him to his core. An image flashing before his eyes, that woman, the woman that had given him this hate. His hands balled up, and his eyes closed as he looked up for a moment. No, he couldn't use violence, not in this, violence was saved for combat. It was never used against anyone outside of it, especially women no matter how helpful.

Why did he stick to these forsaken morals, he would be easier off without them, but a code is a code. He looked back down at the woman. Now she was threatening him, he could end this now, he could permanently stop her. No. The singular thought ringing through his head. She was right this time, he had been a fool, he should have dropped the conversation at the very beginning.

Yet he was still standing here, not moving an inch, why? What compelled him to keep on with these actions, compelled him to stair here. It couldn't be a wound to his pride, he had plenty of those. Why?

That was question to be pondered later for now he had another one to answer. "Yes I have been a fool," he said as his hand was placed against his neck, "and what you have said last is very true." Beauty was all they cared about, the self centered fools. He hated them, he hated them more than anything, and yet he had come into an establishment owned by one, and now this had happened.

"I apologize for my foolishness and the actions I have taken," he said as he bowed his head in a slight action of remorse. What was left of his pride was clearly gone by now. He straightened up and looked back at the woman. Would this astound her, to see him apologizing and even bowing his head before her. It certainly astounded Sha. For even now he was regretting the action.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Vladimir Balsam on March 26th, 2013, 6:00 am

Vladimir looked around. How could anyone else not here what was happening? How could they just be bickering like this and did she just threaten him? I decided that now was better than any time. Vladimir slowly stood up and walked over to there the two are.

"I know this probably isn't the best of times, but my name is Vladimir, and I was wondering what you two are bickering about." Vladimir said, and then soon after thought why did he ask that, it really was none of his business.

"I don't know many people around here and thought that maybe this place would be better than ever." He said smiling, and then smiled, and then stopped smiling ... remembering that not everyone liked seeing his fangs, and if they didn't notice what he was because of his very pale skin then they would surely know from his fangs, he was hoping maybe they wouldn't notice and if they did that they wouldn't be afraid of him.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Ana Sol Starris on March 27th, 2013, 2:55 am

She was doing it again, a voice rang within her head that perhaps she was going a few steps too far, a voice which had not showed itself when she hurt Zandelia. Had said terrible things to the purple hair mercenary, had shouted at Ximal to go away, and here she was doing it again- this time to a stranger she didn't even know. The voice decided to come out now and make itself known, imploring her to think her words through, before saying them and pondering the impact they would have on the person. Agonizing pain coursed through her skull as a pressure squeezed itself around her temples, this was a stranger, and she was getting all choked up about hurting him... What was wrong with her? She could do it to her friends... But now she had grown a conscience all of a sudden over a stupid, foolish Eypharian?

Bringing up a hand to rub her forehead and tilt her head inwards somewhat, inhaling deep breaths as she rolled her fingers into the pressure points known as her temples, and inbetween her eyes. Earlier in the season it had been because of her own selfish stupidity that got her into this mess, and it was arrogance now that was pushing her to spew spiteful things to the Eypharian. Her head snapped up when he admitted he was a fool, and that what she had said was true- honestly, Ana didn't even know what she was saying was real or not. It had been mere attempts to pull his chain, and see what reaction she could get out of him. It did occur to her that perhaps there were exceptions to the rule, and that Nasrin had just displayed a very poor example of her people. What was Ana suppose to do, or think? Apologize? He did.

How was she suppose to react to that? Him, apologizing to...her... It should have been the other way around. It wasn't him that was insulting her. What was it with people that took the blame, even if it was not their fault... It infuriated her. "Shuddup" Ana hissed, attempting to take a commanding tone and slightly failing "just... sit... This is a bath, I didn't come here to converse with people....so...just...relax, okay?" The hand that still had itself near her face went to cover her eyes, she sank lower into the water despite her mind sending her body signals not to go any further. Ana had probably just told him to relax as a way to outwardly tell herself to relax, there was too much stress, all pent up inside; and it didn't help that she couldn't talk to Zandelia without fear of hurting her again. Couldn't go to Ximal...She was afraid of his opinion.

Like a qauke, her shoulders shuddered as she held back tears, and sobbing in front of the stupid Eypharian. How dare he. As if Lhex decided to torture her some more, another voice entered the fray that made her snap with the overly happy attitude. Her anger, and hatred for the Symenstra rolled off her body in waves, a tightening to her chest as she let her hand slide down slowly to cover her mouth. Glaring up at him coldly, her hand gripped the bath wall- she couldn't take it anymore... At first she wanted to say every nasty thing she could, her chest would heave with the effort to remain calm as she kept her mouth clamped tightly shut. Ana had to get out of there, just had to as she coldly glared up at the Sym, standing as she would speak "why don't you try this Eypharian? He's certainly looking for friends... Why you would ever want to be mine, I've no clue, so you can go petch yourself.."

Her voice had started frigidly clear, and calm, but became a harsh whisper hissed out in venomnous anger. Ana began to wade away from the two, the bath had only made her more tense, more stressed, and more... Emotional... Chaotic... It was as if the dams to her personality had been cut up, torn asunder, and thrown loose to the wind to be taken whichever way possible. Anger and sadness being the two most prominent emotions that showed up, along side her condescending attitude. Her body was mechanical and moved on its own, she hefted herself up out of the water and made for the changing rooms.. She would leave this place, public baths, pah! Ana couldn't see what was so great about them.

oocI think this is where I leave, unless someone goes after me. You two can continue by yourselves if you wish. :) Or start a new thread continued from this one. >.>

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Sha'kar on March 27th, 2013, 9:15 pm

Her entire mood changed for a moment, she seemed frantic, nervous, out of place. The fact of her motions assuring this. She said a few words that seemed almost kind before snapping at this new comer, the Sym. "Sorry about that," Sha said as he put his upper right hand behind his head. "I would talk but i have something to do," he said in an apologetic tone. Something that would probably end up with him in pain.

He looked at the Sym for a moment before speaking, his hand all the while placed on his throat, "If you want to speak I would be willing to after this," he said as he bowed his head again, more things to add to the list of pride wounds. Hopefully he could talk to the Sym later, but for now he needed to do this.

He quickly got out of the bath, drying himself off before making a mad dash to the changing room, pulling on all his usual items except for the mask, all the while his mind thinking over this "plan". It was foolish, and would probably end with him getting beaten by the woman or other who thought the act as wrong in such a case. Yet he was still going to do it.

What was wrong with him, why did he have to do this. The more he thought about it the more he wished to do it, the more his mind willed him to do it. "Why," he said as he left the room, swords and clothing still intact and of his possession, his mask hanging from one of his blade hilts.

Stupid. The thought kept ringing in his head yet he kept moving, why, why. As if his body was not of his own, he was possessed to do this. He stood near the main entrance and exit, hands crossed as he stood leaning against the wall, how would this end, he couldn't say for sure, but it certainly wouldn't be in his favor.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Vladimir Balsam on March 27th, 2013, 9:30 pm

Well that was interesting, Vladimir thought to himself and then decided that he would just continue his bath here and then leave ...

I hope that not all people are like in this city. He looked around him and let himself soak in the water for a little longer and then got out, dried off, got his stuff back on and then left the bath house. Hoping that the Eypharian kept his word. He would love to talk to him and see how people are here, and making some close friends probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Awkward Moments (Sha'kar)

Postby Ana Sol Starris on April 3rd, 2013, 10:16 pm

Stomping off to the dressing rooms and leaving a long trail of water in the process, and completely forgetting the second towel she had brought, Ana threw the water logged towel around her body into the hamper for used towels. Grabbing a dry one quickly and soaking up any water still on her skin, and then pulling it up over her head to dry off her short hair- throwing that one in the hamper as well. It didn't take her long to redress into her casual attire, and rebuckle the dagger to her side, striding out of the changing rooms and heading for the front exit and entrance of the bath house. Waving to the Eypharian at the desk with an irritable look to signal she was done with the bath today, and walked out the door to meet fresh air. Ugh, that stupid Eypharian.. and the stupid Sym too, what is everyone's problem with me lately?

Today all Ana wanted to do now was crawl into bed and stay there for the rest of the day, and through the night, she wanted nothing more than to just be left alone. To recharge, and retreat from the stress that accumulated in but a bell of time. Depending on how well her mind would accept that idea and give into the idea of sleep, Ana would probably not recharge any time soon by normal means. She had been in such deep thought that when she went out the door, and turned to start making way towards the Hostel, Ana had for the most part ignored the earlier Eypharian's presence. It shouldn't have been hard to see, he had four huge swords on his person, and four arms to boot, just waiting out there leaned against the wall as if he had expected Ana to come out of the bath house- Ana didn't notice.

Her thoughts were chaotic, and so she hardly recognized his presence and only took note of it on a subconscience level. He was there, but not there within moments of seeing him, her memory dropped him into the abyss of useless detail commonly ignored 99% of the time, most of the time. That when she heard heavy footsteps and the 'clank clank' of swords behind her, she could only assume the worst of possibilities. Ana's hands were quick, one took hold of the scabbard holding the dagger, and the other gripped the handle and pulled it out with a 'schick' of the blade sliding out of the sheath; holding it so the blade was pointed down and the pommel could easily be used to bash with. Eyes glancing behind her, turning on her heel to see- ...the petching Eypharian following her still... "YOU!" Ana screamed at him.

It was only then did she notice how heavily armed he was, four swords to accompany four hands, wonderful. Visibly bearing her teeth at him, and gritting them together in irritation, she couldn't believe him- he was not a threat to her as he had prooven that with his incompetence to strike when one goaded him on- but she wasn't someone to be trifled with, if she had to get nasty just to make people leave her alone...so be it. Ana really wanted to hurt him, not kill him, but stab him... Not out of defence, but simply to stab and be down with the fool- to have some form of stress relief, because it was steadily building up. "What the petch do you want?! Leave me alone-" Ana stepped forwards, and twisted the dagger so the blade was pointing out and aimed at him she swung it in an attempt to slice his skin apart. Petch off!!

Maybe she succeeded in stabbing him, maybe she had not, she couldn't tell because arms had wrapped around her in a sort of hugging.. embrace? In the process it had somehow disarmed her from further attacking with the dagger. Ana struggled hard in his grip, trying to use her feet as leverage to push away from him, growling like an animal being cornered into the back of a cage, a whipped beast that wouldn't let itself be pushed around any more.
