Okay, so Ana had a severed arm in her room now, along with a few other items needed for her journal. The arm itself wasn't a necessity but had been an unwanted evil she was conned into buying earlier, she stared at the cloth wrapped limb sitting on her desk next to her new goodies. One candle had been lit earlier as darkness came with the night and offered her a sense of comfort, flame was a nice thing, warm, and inviting, but at the same time it could be devestating. It destroyed what was not careful, and she had to respect that she shouldn't play around with candles, or the candle wax, especially when she should be doing something of entertainment not involving arson- but what? Ana kicked her feet about boredly, face grim.
Taking the quill set on the desk and dipping it into an ink-well, she opened the journal and wrote on the front page as thusly;
Why had she written her real names initials? Ana squinted at the paper as if expecting the letters to jump out at her like monsters, it was probably best she had used those initials instead of her psuedonym's initials. If someone that didn't know her had gotten their hands on the journal, no one would know it was actually Ana's because no one but a select few people knew her real name. Nodding to herself promptly, agreeing with the logic that came with the reasoning, it was a good idea that she had done it. Wouldn't have wanted people to get their hands on it, and then use it against her, who knew what she would end up putting in this journal?
Ana didn't even know herself, she presumed it would be mostly doodles and some notes but now as she thought more on it... Turning to the 2nd page of the journal, Ana dipped the quill back into the ink again and wiped it on the edge nicely. Penning into the paper once more on the back of the first page. Why not take an item count? Of course she quickly wrote on there her newly aquired items, and then began to add in the items she currently had on her person. Not placing down clothes, but rather items she remembered being in her backpack, or were sitting around her room currently. Putting stars next to items she had stolen, and kept for so long, but that left a whole of the right part of the page empty, and crying out for filling in.
Staring at the list, Ana could hardly believe her eyes.. Counted the items on the list, whispering out the numbers as she did so and came to only sixteen. Ana only owned sixteen items, and some of those she had kept were stolen so were technically not hers, and she refrained from counting items that repeated themselves. Items such as the candles, she had counted them as one thing when she actually owned three of them. That was.. It was sad, she only owned so few things, not counting clothing which had been bought by Ximal two or three days ago. Nor clothes she had brought with her from Sunberth, or the clothes that had been bought in Spires, there was too much but she couldn't help but feel ashamed. There was so much space to fill in still.. Wait- wait! Ana had forgotten her backpacks! She quickly penned those into her inventory check as well, feeling slightly happier.
...backpacks?
Ana stared at what she had done, silently as realization hit her hard; just earlier she had sold off Jean's backpack and thusly didn't own it anymore. How awful! Ana grumbled as she crossed off '2 backpacks' and put underneath it '1 backpack' and left it without a star next to it.
