Always at work

Spring 30, 513 A.V
Early Morning

Ran having made his way back to his Tent the night before, allowing Topaz to rest outside his tent. Carrying in his new acquired items from the shop, the male would rest in the tent. Laying down slightly, wondering about recent events. Feeling the sting of the cold air beginning to cool on the early morning breeze under the flaps of the large tent. The soft thudding of shoe's and boots being heard amongst those up within the camp at this hour. Counting in his head, Ran figured it would be around the eighth chime, seeing the sun breaking past the tent lighting the insides, showing its disorganization.

Getting up, Ran would walk outside. Looking around, he would see Topaz standing a few feet from the Yva on the ground. Gathering the day old trappings, he would take them inside to begin tanning them. Knowing his skill would not produce a fine leather, but one still sell-able. Looking at the rabbits in hand, he would begin to go through the process of skinning and tanning their hide. Plunging his eating knife into the skin, knowing he would need to clean it later. Though using a sword on such a catch would only ruin the fur. Sliding the knife between where the fur meets skin, he would slowly skin the rabbits. Trying to focus, as not to ruin the fur too much as the blade would slid across his thumb.

With a loud yelp, Ran would shake his thumb out having sliced it many times before. Though it was never a good thing to have blood dripping or even showing on fur. His father had often lectured him about this, while they cleaned the fur off of animals before his father prepared the meat. Wiping his thumb off with his shirt, he would go back to skinning the fur off the meat. Taking the first ones fur, he would go and hang it along the rope. Taking the rope from the corner, after shifting through the pile in his backpack. Taking the rope, he would tie it around at the entrance of the tent. Before allowing the fur to dry before tanning, sucking on the cut thumb as he turned back to re-enter the tent. Ran took a moment to look around the camp in the early morning, as the sun slowly began to center itself within the sky above. Showing or awakening the populace slowly within the camp of tents.

Ran would look over at Topaz, the horse eating from the grass that sprung from around his tent. Having unstrapped the Yva from itself, Ran would walk over to acquire it sitting a decent six feet from Topaz. Taking his facial mask off, being near or rather at his home. Ran would and knows the senseless idea of wearing ones coverings within ones own home. Taking his cloak off enjoying the sun on his face, as the facial mask hung around his neck like a bandana.

Picking the Yva up, Ran would walk back to his tent with the Cloak and Yva in arm and hand. Patting Topaz with his left hand, as he would walk past the Cyphrus Strider. Looking over at the gelding, he would pet Topaz gently whispering to the horse. Before going back into the tent, allowing the Yva to be at the foot of the tent outside. Throwing his cloak over his backpack in the corner of his tent, he would examine the cut on his thumb. Looking it over, Ran thought to himself that it didn't look too bad. It would be nothing serious, however he would not want it to become infected. Taking his new gloves he would put them on to protect the small cut.

Before going to the second rabbit from the two he got trapping before coming home, beginning to skin it and trying to not brutalize the fur that would go to market. Smiling to himself, as he would slowly complete his task. Listening to the hustle and bustle of the people outside his tent, within the city of tents. The soft thudding of feet going past the tent outside, he would lay back after having finished skinning the rabbits. Having placed the meat on his cloak, knowing knowing that it would cover his scent from what his father taught him. As he would stand up and wrap the meat in his cloak to preserve it as well as such could.

Walking out, he would hang the fur beside its counterpart. Feeling the first, as it was almost dry as he would look around his tent wishing he had the items needed to tan the fur. But realizing using his sword or knife would probably damage the fur further then what it already was. Ran felt the heat of the sun, as it felt nice after the winter season within the sea of grass. Thinking to himself, he thought it would be good to take a nap. After having cut himself and nearly butchering the fur itself. Walking into his tent, he would kick his backpack after moving the raw meat. Wondering if he could smoke the meat to preserve it further into the days.

However, he wasn't going to do it right away. He might have luck selling the meat, though he wondered on this. He would lay it down within the backpack, before unrolling his bedroll and digging his blanket from the bag. Though he only slept with it out of habit, he would probably not require it as the heat was slowly rising within the sea of grass as the morning had stretched on. Laying down to a nap, Ran would slowly drift off to sleep while he waited for the fur's to dry.

Skill and Lore Rewards
Skills Lore
Leatherworking 3 Not The Finest, But Still Fit For Sale
Observation 2 Skinning And Hanging Your Wares
Not Just Fur For Sale, But Meat

Items:
Two rabbit furs, currently drying, one slightly marred by blood
Two rabbits worth of meat, requiring only to be jointed/cooked

Additional Notes :
Not a bad start, but you really need to work on your grammar and sentence composition. Too many of your sentences seemed either too short or like they shoulder have been part of the one before it, separated by a comma rather than making a new sentence. Also, try to avoid saying the same word (tent, for example) or the same expression ("taking a look") in consecutive sentences. It's unnecessary.

As far as the actual thread went, though, I liked it. A good ground knowledge of leatherworking, tanning and skinning, and you can certainly build on that.
