PEDRO Race: Kelvic (Scarlett Macaw) Gender: male Age: 5 yrs (human appearance=16 yrs) Birthdate: Winter 37, 507 AV Birthplace: Zeltiva Appearance In human form, Pedro stands about 5’10” with a slim, wiry build. As with many Kelvics, some aspect of his animal form carries over into his human form, specifically his hair, which predominantly bears the same bright scarlet red color as his macaw form plumage, with highlights too of jungle green and royal blue, with just a dash of golden yellow. His dark eyes are as equally bright in either form, as is his rather raucous nature, which typically plasters a huge grin on his mobile features. When he reaches full adulthood, those eyes will shift to a light yellow color, when he is in Macaw form at least, possibly in his human form as well. In avian form, Pedro is about 32” long, half of which is his pointed tail. He weighs in around 2 pounds. His head and body are covered with those scarlett feathers, but his rump and tail covert feathers are blue, and his wings have a dash of blue, gold and green. Character Concept Pedro is a very smart, very mischievous and very energetic individual. He basically can not sit still, or keep his mouth shut, for more than about, oh, 30 seconds. He is able to learn new things quickly, if they capture his attention and the instructor is both kind and firm. He’s also quite capable of wreaking havoc on things and places, usually inadvertently through some unintended bad consequence of his energetic nature – unless he does it purposefully to get attention, for he loves to capture someone’s eye and time and can’t stand to be ignored. He’s usually affectionate, though he can give you a sharp reminder not to mess with him too much. Generally he is upbeat and entertaining and fun loving – and noisy. Character History Pedro was born to a pair of Kelvics, who worked as servants in the home of a Zeltivan merchant. His father was a dog Kelvic, bonded to the master of the house, whom he served as a guard and companion. His mother, a cat Kelvic, was bonded to one of the merchant’s children at a young age, no more than a kitten really, and was simple soul, easily seduced by the other Kelvic in the home. Pedro was the product of their physical union, and soon after his birth, the merchant and the dog Kelvic were both lost during a trip at sea. So Pedro was raised by his mother, and being a macaw, he remained living with her longer than other Kelvics with more quickly maturing animal forms might have. He helped with cleaning and other chores around the widow's house, ran errands, and made a great babysitter, as he always had a great fondness for entertaining and making people laugh. Now that he has reached the age of at least some level of maturity, Pedro has decided that he will set out to begin his own life, and has been looking around for a job and housing.
