Zyah'suyakal Songbringer Basic Information: Race: Drykas Gender: Female Age: 23 Years of Age Birthday: Spring 57, 490 A.V. Birthplace: Endrykas, Cyphrus Appearance: Zyah'suyakal stands about five feet and four inches, and weighs in at about one-hundred-and-thirty pounds, her skin is a light cream color, free of blemishes of discoloration. She has a slender build, her body is sturdy despite her fragile appearance. She has been known to walk away from accidents that would leave many wounded, having a curvaceous physique she has been known to turn heads, both men and women. Her windmark is a series of knots and twisting designs that cover her left shoulder, then dips down along her side reaching her hip and fanning out over her back. Her hair, a thick luscious mass of mahogany curls falling to her waist. The wild mass is is adorned with many braids, threaded with beads, shells, and threads of silken fabric known as wraps. She has soft feminine features, her eyes are a soft chocolate brown, framed my thick dark lashes. Her chin is soft, and the slope of her neck slender. She has high cheekbones and full lips. Her eyes are her most prominent feature, they tend to be always glazed over as if she is in a dream, but that is not the case. Zyah'suyakal is blind. Ryzan Ryzan is a five year old Cyphrus Strider, him and Zyah'suyakal have an unbreakable bond. They are never far from one another. Ryzan acts as Zyah'suyakal's eyes, she has complete trust in Ryzan that he will never leave them astray. He is as spirited as a young colt and has an attitude to match, he will bite any who touch him other than Zyah'suyakal. He is stubborn as well as a big softy when it comes to his rider. He loves her, and it is as if her and Ryzan share a mental bond with one another. Character Concept: Zyah'suyakal is a carefully guarded woman, she is a woman of many hardships, and for that it has shaped her into a survivor. She tends to be blunt, having little care for what others believe, she is open with her feelings around those who know her well, although around strangers she may seem cold and standoffish. She is stubborn and many would say hard-headed, she has always had a hard time following instructions. She has always been passionate in everything she does, be it fighting, voicing her opinion, loving another. She has always been a hard worker, despite her handicap. Instead of acting as a victim and feeling sorry for herself, she used her handicap as a means to learn new ways of doing things, although she did things differently she still was able to do what was needed of her. She is a thinker, she has always been know to question everything, having a great curiosity for the world around her. She is smart, having knowledge in many things, she has a good sense of reality and tends to be down to earth. She is not one to get angry easily, but once provoked and her temper flares she is ruthless. She tends to lash out, she twists her words and say things that are harsh and cold. She is extremely sensitive about her blindness, if another is rude to her and acts as if she is incompetent because of it, she will attack them. She has killed on a few occasions due to this. Zyah'sukal may seem cold or aloof at first but if given time, she will express and begin to show the softer side of her. This part of her is rarely seen, and if it is this means she trusts that one individual completely. She is caring and gentle, she is always willing to help a fellow Drykas in need, she would never dare turn them away. She has a sense of humor that tends to make many laugh and feel slightly better. She is easy to get along with, that is if she allows that person to be close to her. She still has trust issues, and she always will. Character History: Zyah'suyakal's life began within her mother's womb, her mother had been carrying twins, but during her fourth month of pregnancy she was in an accident, she had been attacked by a Zith, thankfully there had been other Drykas in the area to hear her screams, they had come running to her aid only to see that Zyah'suyakal's mother had been severely injured. Her abdomen had suffered blunt force trauma. The damage had been done to Zyah'suakal's twin, it had killed the fetus immediately on impact. Zyah'suyakal had survived, as she continued to grow within her mother's womb her deceased twin did not. Five months later, on Spring 57, 590 A.V. she was born, in the late hours of the day. Born into the Amethyst Clan, a Clan renowned for its breeding of horses and navigation of the grasslands, Zyah'suyakal was an exuberant and happy child. Her parents never told her about the twin that she would have had, if not for the unfortunate event of the Zith attack. They wanted her to be happy and not blame herself for her twin's death, knowing that the young child would have. Zyah'suyakal's father had been the Ankal of their Pavilion, he had been a strong warrior and an exponential breeder. He had sired Zyah'suyakal, as well as her three brothers. Zven, Senkel, and Mir'syah. Zven was the oldest, tree years her senior she had looked up to him the most. Senkel and Mir'syah were twins, two years younger then her they were always causing trouble, as the four began to enter their later years in life they began to mature, and take shape. Zven was serious, always wary of danger. The twins were playful and reckless, due to their recklessness they had died at the age of ten, they had wandered into the grasses away from the family Pavilion and had went in search of glassbeaks. Boasting to each other that they could kill one, yet it had been a terrible and fatal mistake. For they had been killed, torn apart by the ruthless creatures, sent back into the Web to be born again. After this tragedy Zyah'suyakal's mother had gone into a deep depression, she had stopped eating and even talking. Soon afterwards she had become a living breath shell, her soul was gone as many believed. After a month of this, one night she fell asleep and never woke, the next morning her father, Zven, and her had carried her mother's body into the grasses and left her body, as it was she was back in the Web and the body was a simple empty shell. Not long after this Zyah'suykal began to notice slight changes in her vision, it had begun to fade and dull. Neither her brother of father knew what had happened, they had gone to the Opal Clan in hops of helping her, but to no avail. None in the Clan had been able to aid the young girl, and so her vision continued to fade. By the age of twelve years she had completely lost her vision, her brother and father were there every step of the way. But the young girl had become sad and lonely despite her famlies efforts. For she had been shunned by the other children of their clan, they had said she would never be good enough, or that she was defected. After months of this harassment she had had enough, one late afternoon in late Summer one of the children had come up to her, he had been about to say something when the young girl had attacked him. She had been ruthless and merciless. It was only a few moments before the fight had been broken up, but the damage had been done. She had been able to break the boy's left arm, nearly shattering the bone. After she had calmed down she had understood the severity of her actions, although she had gone unpunished. Two months after this event, Zyah'suyakal was in the grasses surrounding her family's Pavilion when she was chosen by her Strider. The steed had approached her out of need, the poor beast had been attacked, unable to leave the creature she had led it back to her family's holding. Where she had cared for the beast, after the stallion was brought back to full health he followed her everywhere. Becoming her much needed, and ever faithful companion. She named him Rzyan. As the years went on, she learned how to do things differently, she learned how to ride despite her loss of her sight. She soon became one of the best in her Clan. Her father passed on, and Zven took on the role of Ankal, he soon found an Inarta as a wife and they married her name was Saluida, she had been with a traveling caravan, and when Saluida had met Zven, they had fallen in love at first sight. When Zyah'suyakal had stayed with her brother and his wife, Saluida had taught Zyah'suyakal Nari, seeing as the young Drykas was always questioning things and was always curious, she had taught the young Drykas the language. Zven sired a son and daughter. Zyah'suyakal was with her brother for three more years after her brother married. And in that time she had become just as capable as one with sight, she had no problems doing everyday tasks. She set out in the early spring of the fourth year, set on making a new life for herself and also hoping that she would find a life of her own rather then living with her brother for the rest of her life.
