14th Bell
Daylight cut through the air, casting a warm glow to the glass. Even in the early spring afternoon, heat had managed to rise up and warm the building. But here Akhtar stood behind the bar, clean cut to the best of his abilities - if one was to ignore the ugly black eye he wore. The scuffle he was in a few days before had indeed given him a new temporary medal to wear, but it did not mean he was pleased about it. If anything it had infuriated him slightly, and felt it made him less presentable than he wished. He was at work; he was supposed to look half decent and respectable. Not some lout who tried to put his weight about. The new Apprentice Bartender clicked his knuckles as he hovered behind the bar, blue eyes tracing the small glasses that were kept hidden beneath it.
His first task of the day was to familiarise himself with the layout of the bar. On where the glasses were to be kept at least. From tall glasses used for cocktails, to small shot glasses along with everything in between. Once he was confident with this, he would then move on to remembering where all the different types of alcohol were stored on the back shelf behind him. His fingers traced along the shelf where the bottles were kept, keen eyes trying to remember the names as he did.
Gin, Port Wine, Rum, Brandy… he stopped his finger at a dull green bottle and took it from the shelf. Cautiously the man peered inside at the clear liquid before reading the label that had been placed on it So that’s Vodka. Interesting.
Before working here he was little more than a visitor, and rarely got insight of what the alcohols looked like outside of cocktails. Still it was going to be a steep learning curve. He saw the hidden list on one of the shelves below that had been left for him, a mad scribble of what ingredients are needed for what drink, along with the series of very vague instructions on how to mix them. He gave a nervous swallow, before looking about at the few heads and hearing the few murmured voices of patrons. For the meanwhile it was quiet though, and so he allowed this moment of peace to try and revise the cocktails. Or more importantly the renowned Tanroa’s Gift, a drink that was supposedly this night’s special. He carefully read the notes, and did his best to memorise it where he could.
White whisky, wine and orange twist his eyes narrowed on the sheet You can get white whisky?

oocThis is a Job Thread. Feel free to ask questions or drinks from Akhtar, can't promise they'll be the 'right' thing though.
