56th Spring 513 When Sera arrived at the Healing Center, an ill feeling settled in her stomach. Every day that she worked, she found herself getting into petty arguments and discussions with Whitevines about how she was a Skyglow. Sure, it was tradition to stick with one's hold and do what they have always done, but Sera was a rebel. She was different. She wanted to do something with her life away from the typical artistry point. Of course her family was against it. Khristian was the only one that even seemed to care about her feelings and ambitions and even he got annoyed by her sometimes. The Vantha took a deep breathe and opened the doors to the Whitevine Healing Center. She walked in quietly, realizing that there were only a few people in the waiting room. A couple women and a child and then an elderly man. She leaned over the counter at the lady who sat, checking people in and smiled. "Sera here, ready to help." She said with a grin. "Where am I needed today?" "Doctor's assistant, correct?" The lady asked, but Sera knew that the lady already knew. "Affirmative." "Alright, why don't you go change into one of the uniforms in the back and then return? You can take one of these people in." "Okay, I'll be right back." Sera made a point to look back at the people in the waiting room and smiled a genuine smile. Even if the people she worked with held things against her, the people she helped always seemed to be thankful. That was the reason she was there, after all. So she went into the changing rooms to change into more appropriate and sanitary clothing to be around those that are ill or hurt. |
