Fathers Journal :

this journal was originally his fathers. It contains many different alchemical combinations based on his fathers work. The problem is the writing is coded in a special alchemical ink that only responds to its creators blood. Thankfully Jacks blood works (somewhat) in the deciphering of his fathers notes. The ink reacts to the "level" of djed inside the users blood. As Jacks power grows, the more he can decipher in his fathers journal.
